"Ready to go?" He puts his jacket on.

"Yes, I am." He steps outside and holds the door open for me as I follow him out.

"You clearly already know manners. Why did you act like you did not?"

"I don't care for people, you're only getting special treatment because you're letting me stay at your house."

"Oh is that why?" I ask jokingly.

"Well we'll have to fix that or you will just continue to get slapped."

"Whatever" He says as he gets in the car.

"Here we go again with pretending not to care." I think to myself as I get into the car.

"So we are going to an empty warehouse?" I ask.

"Yes, here's the address" He says handing me his phone.

"I don't recognize it at all. I guess I haven't been in that part of town."

"It's not a great part of town."

"Good thing I know how to use this then" I smile as I show you my pocket knife. Jake frowns.

"Did you bring me one?" I look skeptical.

"I thought you didn't know how to defend yourself?"

"I mean, you just stab at them...right?"

"Well...sorta. They are gonna fight back. But here ya go." I hand you a second pocket knife.

"I doubt anyone is there" He says keeping his eyes on the road.

"Well like you said, there would be clues."

"It's possible." Jake pulls into a parking lot and we get out of the car and walk towards the warehouse.

"Well this is certainly abandoned." Jake smirks.

"Hopefully" I look concerned.

"Why do you want this place to be abandoned?"

"So they don't find your body!" Jake says spookily. I smack the back of his head.

"Try to kill me and I'll stab you."

"I'm just using humor. Wasn't it funny?" I glare at him.

"It would be if I knew you well. For all I know this could be a plot for you to really kill me and your're making a joke about it!" Jake just shrugged.

"If I wanted to kill you, I would have done it last night." I pause.

"True." Jake smiles.

"Hey, after this, would you join me in my excess recreational time?" I smile back.

"Sure, just promise not to kill me."

"Maybe"

"Alright, I'll join you."

"Awesome, can you get the door?" I open the door.

"Well that's a good sign." He says as he walks past me.

"What is?" I ask following behind. He turns to face me and smirks again.

"The doors are not booby trapped." I can't help but look nervous.

"Stop scaring me Jake!" He just snickers.

"Don't be such a chicken"

"Pardon me for being scared when i'm in a abandoned warehouse that a murdered drug dealer used as a hide out!" Jake just shrugged.

"Whatever. Let's take a look around." He walks over to a room that's separated from the rest of the large open warehouse.

"Door is locked." He takes out the knife I gave him and uses it to pick the lock. As he opens the door we hear a footstep from inside the office room.

"Someone's coming! What do we do?!" I whisper. Jake pushes me aside and opens the door. Inside, is a man standing a few paces away. I instantly go silent and watch as the guy pulls a gun out aiming it at Jake. Then I notice Jake had put the knife down when he unlocked the door.

"Who are you?!" The man shouts aiming a gun at Jake's head.
