"Calvin we gotta go to the hearing for the Police Brutality!" You yell out to Calvin as you put on your coat
"(Y/N) I really don't wanna go." Calvin sighed
"C'mon Calvin. Let's show our respects." You say convincing Calvin to come
"I will feel so damn uncomfortable going to those hearing and protests."
"No need to worry Calvin." You say as you put your hand on his shoulder
"I am needing to worrying. I might be the only white person that goes to that goddamn hearing. It'll be just awkward and uncomfortable."
"Like I said, don't worry. Trust me." You say as you clung onto Calvin's arm
"Okay." Calvin says as he sweeps his hair out his face
"Thank you." You say as a grin appeared on your lips
*Time Skip*
You and Calvin were sitting by each other. The hearing as about to start. Calvin was looking terrified. Calvin glanced over the place.
He finally glances at someone. He wasn't sure who this person was. But, he was familiar. There was also some more people with him.
"Ian?!" Calvin calls out his name
"Calvin?" Ian looks back with a smile forming on his face
"Aye!" Calvin says as he gives Ian a hug
"Whassup Cal?" Niall says as he was sitting beside Ian
"Aye Niall!" Calvin daps Niall as well
"It's really good to see ya'll here." Ian says with seriousness in his voice
"What you motherfuckers doing here anyways?" Calvin asks the two as he puts his hands on his hips
"We care about this BlackLivesMatter thing. But, we wanna make #YouTubeLivesMatter protest. We all know YouTube is doing some fucked up shit right now. Everyone is making video on this YouTube shitstorm. Calvin, it would be an honor for you to join." Ian says as he had no expression on his face
"I would join..." Calvin said looking like he was hesitating for a second
"Alright then." Ian smiles as all of us sat back down in our seats
"When are we beginning these protests?" Calvin whispers to Ian
"Monday." Ian replied
"Monday? Isn't there already a protest for that? Moral Mondays." Calvin sucked in his teeth
"This is protest is going to be totally different. Believe my dude." Ian says as he rubs his hand on my arm
Alright. How many people are in this protest?" Calvin asks as his eyes widen
"A lot." Ian says as he puts his hands together
"Goddamn." Calvin sighed as he crossed his arms
"Here's the slip that tells you more about this." Ian says as he passes you a slip
"Thanks." Calvin says giving a forced grin
"No problem dude." Ian said with a warm smile
Calvin slowly turned his head to all the action that was happening.
"Calvin you okay?" You ask Calvin
Calvin glances at you saying, "Yeah, I'm fine."
"Oh, okay." (Y/N) nodded her head
*Time Skip*
This hearing was almost over. But, there was one more speaker. It was a young, black girl. Calvin looked shocked the whole time of the hearing.
"It's a shame that our fathers and mothers are killed and we can't see them anymore. It's a shame that we have to go to their graveyard and bury them. And we have tears. And we shouldn't have tears. We need our fathers and mothers to be by our side. We are Black people and we shouldn't have to feel like this." The young, black girl spoke as tears were streaming down her cheeks. Emotion was speaking in her words, like emotion speaking on the cuts of your wrist.
You were having pity for the young girl. Tears was filling your eyes. What police was doing was totally unacceptable. It hurts to see people feel this way. You were glad the girl spoke her opinions on the police shootings. So as the other speakers. Her words spoke to you like the thoughts in your mind. You glanced over at Calvin, seeing his eyes fluttering with emotion.
"Is it time to go?" Calvin asks you soft as a whisper
"Almost." You respond as you look at his facial expressions, seeing that he was going to cry any time soon
*Itty Bitty Time Skip*
You and Calvin walked outside the Council.
"You okay?" You ask Calvin as he was wiping his eyes
"I'm fine." Calvin said as he forced a smile
You knew Calvin was lying, he wasn't fine. But, you weren't going to push the issue.
"Calvin!" Ian yells out to Calvin
Calvin looks back saying, "Yeah?"
"Don't forget...Monday at 4 o'clock sharp. In this same area." Ian informed Calvin
"Alright dude. See ya later." Calvin waves at Ian, showing him his beautiful smile
Ian's cheek turned a bright red. "See ya Calvin." Ian says as a big smile appeared on his face, causing him to cover him smile
"What's going on, on Monday Calvin?" You ask with curiosity
"A protest. Ian says there're a lot of people here. YouTubers you can say at least. YouTube is fucking up badly with all the updates they're having. I fucking hate it."
"Really?!" You ask, following up with a giggle
"Yeah really. I found it pretty hilarious Ian is doing an #YouTubeLivesMatter. I wonder how all this shit goes down." Calvin laughs, revealing his pearly whites
"Me too. I bet you someone is going to record the shit on YouTube."
"Holy shit! Yeah." Calvin agreed with you
"Calvin I can't believe we spend our Saturday at a Council." You say as you were thinking
"Me either. But, the hearing was very informal. Very tear-jerking." Calvin said in all seriousness holding onto his chest
"I know right." You chuckle
"I can't wait for Monday boy."
"I can't wait to see this shit on YouTube!" You laugh
"Me either. This might be our chance to get justice." Calvin says as a small smile appeared onto his lips
