Introduction- Why Boyxboy?

The blog is focusing on boyxboy, because there are issues with the "genre" that need to be addressed. We are certainly not saying that homosexuality is an unacceptable lifestyle, but like any other "genre" there are typical problems. I went out of my way to find people who enjoy reading and writing boyxboy just so that we could have a well spread diversity of opinions. Let's see what people had to say.

My perspective:

Honestly I refuse to read boyxboy. To me all it is is a romance story. I hate romance. However, I have seen people, who post critical comments on boyxboy, being accused of bigotry and hate, when all they are trying to do is give a fair critique to help the writer. On the subject of boyxboy getting its own genre, I believe that would be a mistake. Boyxboy is romance between two men. I would like to emphasize that word romance. We have a genre for that already. That is where it belongs. If one wishes to tag it as boyxboy then that's fine, but all it is is romance.

Personally I can't get myself to read boyxboy or any LGBT stories... I don't know I just can't wrap my head around it. I'm no homophobe I just like my typical girl and guy stories. I have nothing against LGBT in general or gay people.

It's just a shrug type of thing. Everyone's human everyone deserves the right to do whatever... It's trivial stupid things like this for example; not letting gay people have their rights degrade our world. I mean if you're human, you're right is automatic. Simple as that...

I truly believe in that. However, as a muslim I still believe wholeheartedly in girls and guys being the natural selection of life........... Both ends meet and 'connect'.. Literally (LOOOL).. Okay I'm done with that.

AHEM...

For boyxboy stories... I personally think it would easier to have a section of its own, LGBT in general. So, Wattpad that would definetly save time for not only yourselves, but other people who want to find more LGBT stories.

It's a win-win...

All in all I can't really critique boyxboy stories since I never read one. To be honest I don't think..... I know I'll never read one. Just not my cup of tea.

I say we cut right to the center of the earth, the existence of boyxboy on wattpad is simply a marketing ploy. It’s a way to get easy reads and fans for about ninety percent of the writers. Sadly, even some of the good writers @EricVarkey) have to slap on the boyxboy to get attention for their stories. Also, their should never-ever be a boyxboy category on wattpad. I post in horror often and want to compete against the best horror. If you write a horror story aimed at the LGBT community, I want you to post in horror not a boyxboy category. Stop being a coward and compete against other stories fairly and not in your own made-up category. I know some will say a boyxboy category will make it easier to find boyxboy stories…it’s called promoting, try it just like everybody else. A lot of my stories included members of the LGBT community, but in the end I prefer to simply categorize them as people. I’ve banned the term gay and lesbian from the majority my stories because they’re just pointless labels. So please do me a favor and removed boyxboy from your title, it’s small-minded, cheap and a tad bit homophobic. If you’re going to plaster that next to the title I’m surprised you haven’t put Lady Gaga on the cover and dashed it with glitter and rainbow stickers. And does every boyxboy story has to be a fraking romance…
