"How come you can keep her clam yet I can't?" I ask
"Well, she's 9 and you yell to much. Like you're mother and you aren't" Katherine says
"I'm just trying to show her how to act when she mets her betrothed, Francis" I say
"Maybe I don't want to be married. Maybe I want to be a independent Queen when I grow up?" Danielle says
"That isn't how it works, especially with you being 8th in line for the thrown. And you wouldn't even get the thrown without a husband" I say
"So, I have to just sit still and look pretty?" Danielle asks
"Danielle you are lucky Father even found you family that will accept you with your status" I say
"You mean being the child whose a basterd?" Danielle says
"I didn't mean it like that" I say
"No one ever does. Well, I don't need a king. Or sit still look pretty" Danielle says
Katherine laughs "Fathers not gonna like that"
Danielle shrugs "Lisa says Pretty hurts, and I don't want that"
