Stand and fight me old man"said a bandit who's smile resembles something of a demon as he licked the blade of his double edged sword. "Or just lay there and die like the pathetic dog you are" he continued.
"Leave grandpa alone" a small girl screamed while hitting the sinister bandit with a wooden sword. "Haven't you taken enough already, he's already bleeding you meanie" she yelled as she tried to hit the bandit again.
"Shut up you bitch" said the evil man as he slapped the child to the ground."ill tell you when he's had enough and ill deal with you once I put this sorry excuse for a worm out of his fuckin misery" he laughed as he impaled the defenseless old man in his right shoulder, causing a pool of crimson to form around the elderly man.
"Should I torture you slowly so the little bitch can witness her grandfather beg for his life like a lousy peasant? Or should I show you what it means to be a proper lady" he turned to the young girl drooling with evil intentions.
"Or I could cut you down where you stand for bothering the poor innocent people" a voice called from somewhere behind the action.
The vagabond turned toward the voice with anger on his face and there at the treeline of the forest that surrounds the village stood a tall black haired man with two swords one on each side of his waist and said" what's this? Another dog begging to be slaughtered?"
The mysterious man smiled yet said nothing. This mustve enraged the theif as his veins began to pulse in his forehead and he was no longer smiling his evil grin.
"You had better show some fucking respect worm"he yelled in anger "or ill have to teach you some manners" he continued just before turning back around and drove his blade into the old man's heart. "See this is what happens to those who disrespect the Powerful Ferum" he said with a twisted laugh as he turned to the unknown man.
"Today you meet your end" said the man as he watched the young girl in agony as she wept over her grandpas unmoving body.
"Is that so" scoffed the man known as Ferum as he laughed at the girls loss. "Then be my guest you worthless sack of sh--" before he could finish his sentence his head was sliced from his neck and the mysterious man was already sheathing his sword.
"I'm sorry young lady" he said trying to console the child still crying as he picked her up placing her head upon his shoulders.
"Its not fair" she screamed with tears streaming down her cheeks. "Grandpa was all I had left, now I have nothing" she continued to cry.
"Then you shall come with me" the man said gently.
The young girl looked up at the dark haired man to see a friendly smile and she said "who are you mister" with a sniffle, nose still running from all of her crying.
"I am known as Sequence" said the man as he wiped away the tears streaming from her face" and whats your name?" He asked as the girl seem to cheer up alittle.
"I'm Avery" she said excitedly"Avery Jade"
"Its a pleasure to make your acquaintance Ms. Jade" said Sequence with a smile as he carried the girl into the remains of the small village the bandit had just destroyed.
Soon after they arrived in the village Avery showed Sequence to the small hut where she had lived with her grandfather.
"Are you hungry?" Sequence asked Avery as he started to boil some water.
"Starving" she replied. "Me and grandpa were on our way to a pond when that man attacked us and-
"That was no man" Sequence interrupted. "That beast was a blood thirsty demon sent from Havengaurd. A Captain of the Abysion Army nonetheless".
"A demon? Abysion Army?" She asked." He looked like a regular man. How do you know he was a demon?"
"I know the foul stench of a demon anywhere" he replied while pouring ramen into two bowls for them to eat.
"Grandpa was killed by a demon"? She cried as she tried to take a bite.
"Yes, its very unfortunate young one"
He said placing his empty bowl on the table. "Now eat you will need your strength. Whe will leave here in the morning".As the sun had finally set and the only light to show through a window was from the moon and stars, Avery had fallen asleep.
As Sequence sat looking out the window at the beautiful night sky he thought to himself.
Why have I put this young girls life in danger by dragging her along with me? I guess I couldn't just let Ferum kill her but still..... and she doesn't even know what I am.
