An Up-hill Battle

"Well.... It seems I'm just in time for the reunion. Hope you didn't miss us too bad. Said Kena with a demented grin. "OH!! and what's this? The great Sequence decided to make an appearance? This is too good to be true. I was nearly devastated when I heard the news you had been slain by that snake Cerberus. I've always wanted to mount your head myself."

"I see you haven't changed at all. After all this time your still a cynical bitch Kena. You could slay me all those years back and ill be damned if I would let myself fall to the likes of you now." Said Sequence.

"If you think I'm still the weakling I was back then....Then underestimating will be your downfall. I will have you head." Retorted Kena.

"You've come here to challenge us alone?  Your ignorance has grown unbelievably over the years Kena."

"That voice.... Vandara? But how is this possible? You were killed by your closest friend,  yet somehow your voices still curses my ears to this day." She said.

"I'm pretty sure she isn't alone. As soon as Raven said that assassins began to appear.

"Mada you and Avery get out of here. We don't need any reason to hold back." Said Loch

"But mas-

"GO NOW! TELEPORT TO SOME WHERE SAFE! shouted Loch as he summoned a long curved blade out his aura as more and more shadows appeared surrounding the group.

"Okay... ill do it but you guys had better be safe. Sequence please protect my master. Come Avery, lets get out of here.

"Mr. Sequence, Mr. Raven you two be careful as well."Said Avery joining up with Mada. "I won't forgive you if I don't get to see you again!"

"Don't worry, we'll be fine besides Raven is too stubborn to die" replied Sequence punching Raven hard in the arm.

"Owww! What'd you say you stupid bastard?" Shouted Raven as he pulled his scythe from his back. "Just don't get in my way or I might accidentally kill you." He said winking at Avery, who just shot him a glare.

"Avery we must go now" said Mada noticing the enemy closing in.

"Okay." She replied reluctantly with a frown. "Don't forget, I won't forgive you!" She yelled pointing to Sequence as a tear rolled down her cheek.

"I understand" he replied smiling gently. 

"DIMENSIONAL VORTEX" shouted Mada as a blinding white light engulfed the pair and in an instant they were gone.

"Vex are you ready to show them the wrath of Vandara"? Asked Loch standing at his back.

"Yeah. Lets show them no mercy father"!!! Yelled Vex as his aura flared into huge bursts of white and red mana.

"Im ready my son. Let us vanquish this evil together".

"Don't make me laugh. sneered Kena. This is where you all die. ATTACK!!! The shadowed assassins moved in quickly, not leaving much time to defend. They had split into two massive groups. One group attacking Vex and Loch as the other along with Kena rushed Sequence and Raven.

"Looks like they aren't wasting any time. Said Raven as he jumped back avoiding being impaled through the heart and countered.

"ARCANE TEMPEST" he shouted as
he began twirling his scythe into a cyclone slashing and cutting through enemies like butter. He had taken out at least 20 shadows but it seemed he hadn't even began to make a dent in the enemies formation. "Damn, there's too many of them.

"STORM OF ERADICATION" Yelled Loch using his barrage of mana fragments to put some distance between himself and the surrounding foes. "Now Vex"!!!

"ETERNAL INFERNO BLITZ" yelled Vex as furious white flames surrounded a portion of the enemy forces.

"Not so fast SHIELD OF THE SHADOWS" chanted Kena as dark auras covered her soldiers right as Vex was slamming his fist together to close the circle of flames on the assassins.  It seems to negate the attack and the soldiers were left with little to no damage.

"Damn, she nullified my attack. This isn't going to be an easy battle.
