(AN:// this is mostly just a filler chapter, sorry its so boring)

Josh had spent the majority of his morning laying peacefully in bed, the sight of the trees swaying with the wind outside his window had helped him put his worries at ease for moments at a time, focusing on the vibrant yellows, oranges and reds that painted the ground and some trees a colorful masterpiece. He had a small notebook laying on the coffee table alongside his bed, he also had a small alarm clock and a case full of brightly colored pens, pencils and ink. He picked up his journal delicately, he hadn't touched it for a while and he usually only wrote when he was in a bad place or when he just wanted to remind himself of something. Flipping through page after page; nothing had really caught his attention until he came across a page titled "phenomenon" . The page was covered in conspiracies and drawings of made up creatures that Josh had either seen in media and books or in one of his dreams . A small  smile spread across his face as he looked at the small alien he had doodled, he was always intrigued by the idea of aliens and other supernatural entities, there's so much evidence to look at. But there's always a time and place for everything and Josh is in no place to have the thought of extraterrestrial life entertaining his mind, he had better things to focus on.
Josh had been pulled out of his daze by the sound of his phone vibrating on his wooden side table. The screen read:

"From Brendon, 9:05 AM. : hey dude what r u doing later?"

Josh had completely forgotten that Brendon was at work at the studio. He twirled a small strand of vibrant red hair before letting out a long exaggerated sigh. He couldn't think of anything, he was just laying around all day and he could never lie to anyone about anything, even something as minuscule as this.

"From Josh, 9:07 AM: I don't think i'm doing anything tbh :// wby??"

The reply to Josh's question came faster than he had anticipated, his screen had lit up once again within the span of 30 seconds.

"From Brendon, 9:07 AM: Well I was thinking maybe you'd wanna go out and get a bite to eat and maybe a few drinks? :)"

Josh was surprised by Brendon's positive attitude after they've been arguing so much recently, but he wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to possibly patch things up with Brendon, maybe the could go back to the way things used to be, before everything happened, before Josh fucked up.

Josh finally stepped out of bed and took a warm shower, the steam making his skin feel clean and new, like it was making him a new person. He sighed and extended his arm to help guide him as he sat on the floor of the shower. He remained sitting for a long amount of time, considering he was in the shower and wasting water. He didn't care though, he would take anything he could that made him feel even the smallest sliver of joy.

"Joseph!"
A deep, masculine voice yelled above the ocean of chattering that had erupted in the room.
Tyler glanced around himself sheepishly before giving a small response to his boss.
"Yes?"
Was all he managed to say in a small squeaky voice.
"You didn't finish that article that I assigned you, it was due this morning, remember?"

Tyler subtly shook his head and squinted his eyes to remember what exactly he was doing.

"Oh, uh yeah. I'm sorry about that, i'll finish it right now. I'll let you know when I finish it, sir, thank you."

He let out a small nervous fit of laughter to help fill the quiet that fell between the two. hands began to shake and he picked up a pen from his desk and nervously tap it against his knuckles repeatedly. Tyler was only an intern, he had started his job as a writer for a local art catalog very recently and he didn't want to mess this up, he feels like he messes everything up and the constant fear of failure always remains on his mind. He shakes his head again to help suppress the thoughts and begins to type on his laptop, after a short period of working, he rewards himself to a small cup of tea from the break room. He had spilled some sugar onto his hands and made his way to the sink and turned the knob to the faucet and the water poured down onto his hands, he was somewhat shocked at how red his knuckles had appeared, he didn't think he had hit them that hard but he doesn't really remember. Tyler sometimes has these small habits that he does to help him cope with his thoughts and feelings, none were dangerous but should probably be stopped.
He sat down at the small circular table, inhaled deeply and sighed in hopes that someday he could just have time to relax, time to breathe.
