The shrine has been quiet for over a day now. It's beginning to seem as if nothing had happened the day before. A previously unseen man emerges from within the shrine, walks to the purification fountain, and begins to remove the gold coins from within one at a time and place them in a row within the shrine. The man walks to the edge of the shrine and looks out over the mountain before speaking to himself outloud, as he had done for hundreds of years.
"That, was the first human I have seen in over 300 years...and I accepted a job....but why?" he asked himself.
"I have no way to guarantee that mans father will return to good health, I don't even possess a regalia". The man began to pace back and forth in front of the shrine ranting to himself in this fashion for several hours, His long sky blue hair which had been put into a pony tail flowing and moving with every step he took. His green hakama and kosode reflecting the light of the sun and giving the water in the purification fountain a comfortable nature feel.

"Some mighty God of the Earth I am, I haven't completed a single wish in over three hundred years". The god, nearly another day later was still complaining to himself about the decision he had made to help the man.
"I had forgotten what interacting with humans was like" he said nostalgically.
"That man had approached the shrine, and initially I thought him do be a phantom because he carried such a sense of gloom an misfortune with him, and yet, when i accepted his job, that feeling immediately vanished and I felt something I haven't felt in a long time......a sense of purpose." The god then silently decided that he would leave his shrine, and go back to the human world for the first time in over 300 years. What he would find he could not have prepared himself for.

The god slowly descended down the mountain, realizing that his pathway had grown out of order for the first time. The god traversed the path the man had taken with relative ease and without tiring in the least bit. The wind and cold did not bother the god in the slightest, simply one of the benefits of being a god of the earth. Upon arriving at the foot of the mountain and entering the forest Xankai began to walk much slower. He took time to examine nearly every plant and animal, enjoying the nature that he had long since forgotten in his mountain shrine. He verbally named every single tree he passed, as he has knowledge upon all flora in japan.

He reached the end of the forest path and for the first time laid eyes upon an asphalt road. He stared at it for the longest time, and when he attempted to walk on it, the heat burned his bare feet, as he does not have shoes.
"Aaah, this must be some form of phantom road, blighting any god that touches it, but I know how to deal with this!" the god said triumphantly as he began to jump from tree to tree along the side of the road. He used this mode of travel to go as far as he could towards the nearest city. While he was graceful as he went from tree to tree, it did not take away from the fact that a mighty god was frightened by asphalt.
