Inside Out
Sweet salt of tears,
a soft gentle rain,
wash away these fears,
make me whole again.
Loose deep within
taut connective tissue:
Beneath flesh and skin
soften knotty sinew.
Smooth raw edges
crimped in trauma,
Melt cruel wedges
and upend drama.
Cascade freely,
cleanse and renew,
release me to be
centered and true.
