"Oh god." You said. "NOO!!" Rick yelled, you all ran towards the boy who had been shot.

You noticed that the deer was shot as well. Rick was lying there, crying on Carl's chest. You stood up, holding up your bow. "Who did that?" You asked in an abrupt tone of voice. You heard a few twigs snap and turned the opposite direction. You saw a large man, carrying a gun. "What the hell!?" You yelled. "I-I-I- I'm sorry, I didn't see him." He stuttered. "How the hell can you miss a boy!?" "I'm sorry." He said. You pushed him. "You dick!! He's gonna die!!" You yelled. "N-no! We have a doctor— we can take him there." He said. Rick grabbed Carl. "We're going." He said. "But what if—" "NOW!!!" Rick yelled. "Rick, he may be lying." You protested. "And he may not be." "You selfish prick!! Why don't you think about others for once!?" You said. "Fine, I'm going, you don't have to." He corrected himself, beginning to follow the large man. You rolled your eyes.

"Rick." You said. "Rick!!" He didn't say anything. Shane started following him. "Shane!?" You said. "There's no getting through to him, plus we have to stick together." He chuckled. You sighed and finally decided to follow them.

Soon, you were all lead by the large man towards where he said there was a farm.

"What kind of a doctor lives on a farm!?" You asked. "He's not really a real doctor— he's a veterinarian." He said quiet enough for only you to hear. You face palmed. "So what? He's gonna give him some flea shots?" The man rolled his eyes. "No, he can help." He said. "How?" "He still has a degree in medicine." He said. You stopped, trying to interpret what he meant. "Whatever." You mumbled and you all continued running.

You came into a flat field. "How close are we?" You asked, panting a little. "Almost there." He said. "You better hope so." You threatened.

When you kept running, the "farm" remained out of sight, giving you and Shane doubts.

Shane now pointed his gun at the large man. "What the hell!? Where is it!?" He asked. The man was breathing so heavily, he stopped running, putting his hands on his knees. "STOP DONT!!" Rick yelled at Shane. He pulled his gun away.

The man stopped, seeming very tired and unable to breathe. "Just keep going." He said, waiting behind. "The man, his name's Hershel, he'll help your boy!" He yelled from the far distance.

You ran ahead of everyone. Rick was behind you, carrying Carl, Shane was with the man, forcing him to come with you guys.

When you ran up a hill, you saw a house. "Well I'll be damned." You said quietly. He was telling the truth. You glanced back at Rick who was still far behind you. When you came closer, you could see a human figure on the porch. You heard the female voice yell; "DAD!!"

You ran up to the front porch, about 30 yards in front of Rick.

4 more people walked out on the front porch. An old man, a woman, about his age; a blonde girl, looking to be a teenager, and a boy her age with brown hair. There was also the girl who was out there in the first place, she had short brown hair, looking a few years older than the blonde.

"Was he bit?" He asked you, referring to Carl. You looked back at him. "Nah, your man shot him." You said. "Otis?" The woman asked. "He said to find Hershel. That you?" You asked. The old man stepped closer to you. He nodded, then Rick caught up. "Please! Help!" He called out. "We will, just bring your boy inside, we'll help him.

The blonde girl opened the door, allowing everyone in in a rush.

"Petrisha, I need my aid kit." Hershel said, rolling up his sleeves. The older woman left, you assumed she was petrisha, off to retrieve the aid kit. "Maggie?" "Yeah." The brunette asked. "I need my pain killers, coagulants, everything." He said. "I'm on it." She said. "Clean towels, sheets, alcohol, in here." He pulled out a mattress and gestured for Rick to place Carl down on it. When he did so, you stared at him. He was lying there, short breaths giving you doubts about his life.
