"What do we do now?" You asked Rick. What do we do now? You found that that was a question that you asked very often, whether you asked only yourself or someone else. "I don't know, lets just wait until Maggie gets back or something." He suggested. "How long do you think that'll take?" You asked. He shrugged his shoulders. You knew that the best answer that you could get out of Rick or anyone else would be a guess. You didn't mind; however. You just wanted to start a conversation. If you didn't have at least a little fun in this world, your life would be no better than just dying and turning to the blood thirsty creatures that lurk in the woods. For a moment, the two of you stood there in silence. "Y/n?" Rick said. You were shifting around the arrangement of your weapons whenever you moved they would hit you in the head. "Yeah?" You asked, struggling to fix it. "What do you think Lori will say?" He asked. You gave your full attention to Rick. "Well, first of all," You started, putting two fingers on the index finger. "She'll probably deny it, you know like- assume that its only a dream or something. Then, she'll probably get a little mad at Otis that he shot Carl, maybe even a little mad at you, Shane and I. Next, she'll probably bargain, do whatever she can to get him safe. Then she'll get all sad and depressed, knowing that it isn't a dream and she can't do anything about it, and then finally accept it." You said quickly. "What do you mean, Accept it? Are you saying that Carl isn't gonna make it?" He asked you, not quite satisfied with the answer that you just gave him. You smirked, realizing that you needed to correct yourself. "Im saying that she's probably gong to get through these stages before Carl gets well." You said. Rick looked at you confused with a 'What the hell are you talking about' kind of face. "What do you mean, five stages?" You rolled your eyes, "The five stages of grief." You stated. "You know, denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance." You said. He rolled his eyes. "You know a lot of things." He said. "Of course, thats one of the reasons why it's good to have me." You smiled. The truth was, you were somehow very smart, even though your deadbeat dad didn't put you in school or anything, you learned it along the way.

One of your old friends was a gambler; besides all the rules of gambling, he taught you almost all you know. However; you taught yourself how to hunt and such, but all of your logic came from that man.

Rick was going to say something more when you stopped him. You held up your binoculars to reveal two people on a horse, riding towards you guys. It was Maggie in front and you assumed that Lori was sitting in the back of the horse. You pointed at them, handing the binoculars to Rick. He looked through and gave a relieved smile. He looked at you with warming eyes and nodded. He began running up towards them. Lori got off of the horse while Maggie took the horse to the stables. You grinned at the fact that they were reunited once again, but the smile dropped when you thought about Carl.

Lori and Rick gave each other hugs and kisses, when they came towards you. "Where's Shane?" She asked, obviously forgetting that her son even existed. "Went on a run with Otis." You replied. "Who's Otis?" She asked. "The one that shot your son." She frowned. "Oh my god— Wheres Carl?" She asked. You and Rick looked at each other. "Cmon Lori." He said.

The two of them went inside. You however walked up towards Maggie who was now sitting on the porch. You slowly walked up the stairs, scratching your arm. "Hey." She spoke in a quiet tone. "Hey." You nodded. There wasn't much to say, you both just kept staring at each other awkwardly. You and Maggie started laughing, breaking the silence; because of the silence. "Did you need anything?" She asked you. "Um, yeah I was gonna ask you where Carol, Glenn, Andrea, Daryl, and the others were." You said. She titled her head, wanting to understand what you just said. "Oh, the other people in the group." You corrected. "I told them where to find us," She said. "But you know I couldn't fit 10 other people on the horse, just Lori." She said. You nodded. "So what? It'll take them like— an hour or two to get here?" You asked. She shrugged her shoulders. "Probably around that time." She said. "Ok, what do we do when they get here? Can we stay the night?" You asked. You had a persuasion power that could almost get you anything you wanted. She paused. "We'll have to wait and see, it's not up to me." You smiled. "Thanks anyway." It was a calm day, not much was happening. Oh yeah! Except for the fact that Carl got shot. Yep... Normal. You sat down on a chair next to her. You wanted to even out the amount of friends and enemies, and so far; the enemy list was taking place in the lead.
