Game Over

She stood on the edge,

You ran up behind her and tried pulling her down,

"Let go!" Was all you heard,

You shook your head,

She told you it was for the best,

Let go, move on, be happy,

You started to tear up,

She said to stop crying and be a man,

You asked her why she was doing this,

She didn't respond,

You let go of her,

She started moving towards the edge again,

You grabbed her wrist,

She yelped in pain,

You quickly let go,

You asked her to show you what she had done to her wrist,

She showed you,

You shook your head sadly,

"Just let me jump. Then leave." She said,

You asked her why,

"Because for me, its Game Over. You'll understand someday."

You looked at her, then quickly looked away,

You couldn't bear to look at her the same,

You wasn't looking, she jumped,

A few years later,

You was back at the same cliff, the same one,

The girl you loved had jumped from,

You let her go, you moved on, you were happy,

You pulled out a letter she had left you,

That no one knew about,

"I'm sorry I jumped,

I just couldn't take it,

I had a reason, and I did what needed to be done,

I love you, and I always will,

But for me, it was Game Over"

You one day figured out what she had meant when she said,

Game over,

You never told anyone, but you knew,

And it killed you,

You let her go, you moved on, you were happy,

But for her,

It was Game Over

And this time, no one could save her,

Not even you,

So this time, its,

Game Over
