Chapter 6
Moritani was in shock. In all the years he had known Shujin, he had never looked at like that, even if they had been fighting. The male was aware of his shivering body, seeing and feeling every vibration in his hands. He rose to his feet slowly, knowing that at any other pace and he would've collapsed again. He almost tripped on a trip lying open on the ground, picking it up and flipping to a random page.
Squinting, he tried to read in the dark, but all he could make out were some triangles and a big yellow ball surrounded by what looked like blue or grey. Intrigued, the male decided to take the array of colors to look at in better lighting. Deciding 26 Sita was late enough, he headed back to his room to get some rest
Chapter 7
After Shujin had managed to eat what little his stomach could hold, he walked slowly to his room, worrying over what he was going to say to Moritani. It was far too late for anybody else to be up, so the male walked the dimly lit corridors in solitude. By the time he reached his stone door, he was trembling as he reached for the door knob. Swinging it open, the male stood wide-jawed as his brain ran slow. Eventually, the male realized the room was empty.
Shujin took a deep breath, not realizing how tired he was. Black-ringed eyes grew heavy and began to droop. Shutting the door, he collapsed in his bed. Exhaustion slowly took over his body as he drifted into dreams of memories long passed.
Chapter 8
Shujin was up the moment the alarm went off. The male noticed the salty liquid running from his eyes and quickly wiped it away, walking over to the stone shelf and sliding on his uniform. The male coveted going to eval, even if included several needles of which he hated, he didn't care. Nothing was going to ruin this for him.
The male practically sprinted down the corridor. After waiting years for this, he wanted to be the first one there. Shujin rounded the last corridor and swung open the heavy double doors. A rush of cool air hit him hard as the light blinded him. Surface air had leaked from the reinforced doors. There were always guards here bearing Tsurugi.
Lines on the floor directed Shujin to squad number 3729, his squad. The male waited seemingly forever until fellow cadets, soldiers, and other personnel began entering the room.
Chapter 9
Being relieved of the task of standing "alone" in the same room as Commander Hiroikku, Shujin finally could relax. That was until Moritani entered, getting in line right next to him. Neither boys spoke, but the male desperately wanted to.Chapter 10
Moritani was awake before the alarm even sounded, not getting a wink of sleep that night. Slowly sitting up, he crept to the desk of which his new uniform sat neatly folded. Once dressed, the male dashed down the hall, otherwise late if he didn't.
The air smelled of salt and the lights seemed almost natural. Men and women lined the walls bearing the rare Chisi infused weapons. The male found himself thinking about how cool it would be to hold one of them. As he studied the room further, he recognized Shujin among the ocean of strangers.
The male got in line next to Shujin, though didn't say a word. Moritani decided to leave it up to him to decide if their friendship would remain intact.
