It was just a typical day in the life of Lex. She pried herself from her lavender comforter. Leaving the safe and secure feeling of it behind as she got ready to face another day at Merlin Manor High. Lex was one of the lucky few of her oh so segregated or categorized school. She was a Sophomore now and hadn't been picked on, yet. That was probably because no one in the school new she existed. She was a smart girl and tried in school. That is what she wanted to do. She wanted to get into a good college and live her life free of her toxic parents.
It's not that she didn't love them, it's just that they weren't exactly good parents. Her mom worked too much and was never home. She was too dedicated to her company, Light Camera. It's a photography company. She is so obsessed with it, even when Lex was born instead of taking at least two months off from work, she went right back one week later. And as for her father, he was always out also. Doing who knows what. He wouldn't come home till four in the morning or not at all. Not that her mom would notice though. Lex never told her mom what her dad was doing, not that she would listen to her, she wants them to stay together as any child would. She was lucky to have both of them, well sorta have both of them. Lex spent most of her time alone. And since she had no friends she did what any lonely person would...create their own.
Raven Writing Desk is what she named her. Lex created an alter ego of herself. Raven would be everything Lex wasn't. Confident to name one of Raven's many fantastic qualities. Lex was not confident at all, she would wear really oversized sweaters and regular jeans. Not even skinny jeans. Sweaters and regular blue jeans are what her wardrobe mostly consisted of. Outgoing is another thing that Lex is not. She used to be invited to birthday parties in elementary but she was WAY to shy to go and if she ever did she would just sit awkwardly in the corner. She wouldn't dance, play, or even talk to anyone. So she stopped getting invited.
She dragged herself to her closet and grabbed a red sweater, grey t-shirt, and blue jeans then got dressed. Her room was big. Huge even. Lex hated it. It took to many steps to get from her luxuriously comfortable bed to her closet and to her vanity.
The lay out and size of Lex's room made it look extremely empty. From the door, on the right there lay vanity. Vanity is a bit of a stretch. It's really just a wooden desk with a mirror in a wooden frame on top of it. To the left, is her closet. It's large in size, but quite empty on the inside. About a quarter of the closet was actually in use. Diagonally left is her bed. That was the only thing that Lex took attention to. It was a 4 poster masterpiece. A custom-made beauty. Composed of the most gorgeous wood and paired with a wonderous bed. It could make any king jealous. Her lavender colored covers added just the right touch to it all. There wasn't anything else in the room. No posters. No awards. No photos.
Due to her taking a shower the night before, her light brown hair was a natural mess of waves. She frowned lightly at her appearance. She grabbed her brush and pulled it into a low bun. She never did try much with her looks. No one to impress.
