I want to be with you,
But I know that I can't
I want to see you everyday,
Day in, day out, till the end of time,
I want your warmth to wake me up,
Like the light of the sun, at the brink of dawn,
Yours are the eyes I want to see,
Yours are the lips that should be greeting me,
I want to sniff your silky locks,
Smell that mesmerizing flowery scent,
I want to hold you in my arms,
Like holding on to dear life,
I want to feel your loving touch,
Your fingers intertwining mine,
I want to kiss you in the rain,
Hug you and forget all my pain,
I want to be the one, who makes you smile,
To catch all your tears whenever you cry,
I want your shoulder to lean on,
When things are not so good,
I want you by my side as we watch the sun set,
Tickle your toes as we sit there on the sand,
I want to place that ring on your finger,
That makes you my lawfully wedded wife,
I want to love you all night long,
Love you like no one ever can,
I want to be your soulmate,
Through thick and through thin,
I want your hands to lay me down,
When my life finally comes to an end,
I want you; I want to be with you,
I want to, but I can't.
