The Girl with the Keys {{17}}
I slowly crawl out of the cage and
Leo gives me his hand to hold onto as I climb from the trunk. When I'm firmly standing on the ground I don't hesitate to wrap my arms around Leo's neck. Almost immediately as I do that I hiss and let go.
"You're hurt. " He says.
"Just a few battle scars. Nothing much." I try and joke, but let's be honest this hurts like crazy. Leo pulls me back in for another hug.
"You're so stupid." He whispers in my ear.
"Hey! It wasn't my fault." Leo leads me to the back seat and he hands me a blanket before shutting the door. I wrap it around myself and watch as he sits in the passengers seat. That's when I notice the short man driving the car. He turns around with a smile.
"Hello miss." I laugh when I realize it's Gary.
"Gary! What are you doing here?" I ask still not totally sure it's him.
"I volunteered to drive the getaway car." Gary smiles and starts the great pumpkin. Actually he starts it three times before it finally drives off.
"How did you find me?" I lean forward and ask Leo.
"We can talk later. It's a long drive, eat this and get some sleep. You need it." I scoff and he hands me a granola bar.
I eat it and lean my head against the window to fall asleep.

Leo helps me upstairs and he brings out a first aid kit. I don't remember having one of those.
"Where's Jack?" I mumble as I ease myself onto the couch.
"He was beat up bad. That psycho broke in here and knocked him out before getting you." Leo opens the box and takes out the bandages.
"So that's what happened." I look around my ruined apartment. This is going to take forever to clean up.
"Jack said he'd call once he got home." Leo says a other things but I tune him out as he wrapping my wounds.
"Can you get my wand for me?" I feebly ask.
"Where is it?" Leo looks up at me and sets the things to his side.
"Over in the pot of the fern." I point to the plant in the corner of the room. Leo pulls the wand from the pot and he hands it to me.
"Thanks," I say a couple things and things fly back in place.
Just like that, my flat looks better.

I sigh as the movie continues. Leo let me pick Pretty In Pink and popped some popcorn. I have an ice pack resting on my arm and face, bandages on my wings, and something holding my busted lip together.
I'm guessing I look awful.
As the movie plays I tap my wand on my chin. A few times I'll miss my chin and hit my lip and I'll hiss. Leo's being awfully kind. It's strange.
"Forget magic, you could probably stab someone with that." I try and laugh, but my ribs hurt too much. So I opt for a smile.
"I guess." I shrug.
"I'm sorry for everything." Leo turns to me.
"Thanks I guess. Thank you for being there. I don't even want to know how you found me." He faintly smiles.
"Jack called me and I called your brother-" Leo starts to say.
"How did you have his number." I ask when I realize he said he called my brother.
