7. Take this to your grave

Today was the last mission we'd ever do with HYDRA, even if they don't know that yet. This mission, as Voronkov has gone on and on about is 'Is ze most important mission you will ever do' all it is is kidnapping Captain America god that's so easy we've killed loads of political figures and got away with it how hard could kidnapping someone be? Oh I was naive as fuck, my brain didn't connect the dots that this is captain America we are talking about and although I don't know an awful lot about him, I was told enough in the mission briefing that he is someone not to be messed with.
"There is no way in hell this is happening" I could hear Tony Stark yell over the sound of gun fire.
"Believe it honey, because it's real" I yell back, kicking a shield agent in the face and knocking him out before stealing his gun and shooting at least 5 more.
I don't know what my relation to Tony stark is but by the few memories that have resurfaced me and him used to be close, maybe husband or fiancé? I mean Tony isn't someone I'd go for but then again how do I know if he isn't my type? I don't know myself.
"Foxy isn't dead?"
"I called it!" I ignored the conversation between Hawkeye and captain America as Natasha decides to attack me.
"Dammit after all I did for you Miss romanoff" I smirk as she takes me down, "I thought we where close"
"What?" She gasps distracting herself giving me my opportunity to escape from her grip,
Once free I realise I'm fucked. Me and the Winter Soldier were surrounded by tonnes of Shield agents, all pointing guns at us.
"Ah Shit" I roll my eyes dropping my gun to the ground. I raise my hands jokingly and look around for my partner who was off fighting with captain America.
"Okay no one shoot" Iron Man says cautiously walking towards me.
"Hello Mr Stark" I smile nonchalantly glancing around at all the gun pointing at me. I know I shouldn't be cocky or sarcastic while having this many guns pointing at me but it's my defence mechanism, if I don't take the piss ill burst out into tears, I need help, I need them to help, I'm so lonely and confused, I just need someone to help me.
"Alex what happened to you?"
"I don't know what you're going on about. Who's Alex? Im the Artic Fox" I tilt my head in confusion, the wires in my brain sparking as I try to work out if my name is really alex.
"What did they do to you" I hear Tony mutter, his voice was hoarse and shaky.
All the Hydra agents that were with us are dead, no ones monitoring us now. And damn shield knows how to do their job don't they?
"Hey it's safe" I suddenly yell making everyone look at us in confusion.
"They're all dead?" My partner calls getting shoved into the circle of shield agents that I'm stood in.
"Looks like I--" I was cut off by a gun going off. I glance at my partner and his eyes go wide as he looks down at his chest. Now this is where my A+ acting skills come into play, time to put on a show.

"Soldier!" I yell as he drops to his knees clutching his chest where the bullet had entered. I knew the bullet wouldn't kill him, he had swallowed the pill discreetly, now it was up to my first class acting to make it seem real.
"NO!" I shout running towards him ignoring the fact I just heard a couple guns getting cocked.
"It's going to be okay oh god" I panic dropping to my knees and grabbing his hand.
"Bucky!" Steve rogers yells, running over and kneeling down next to the Winter Solider.
"I'll see you soon" he whispers sending me a wink before his body goes limp and his grip on my hand loosens.
"No no no no" I panic feeling tears prick my eyes.
"Is he dead?" Captain America gasps slowly looking up at me with teary eyes as every thing seemed to stop.
I didn't say anything but glance up at him, he had this unreadable look of pain written all over his face and I feel like I just heard his heart break. He looked like he was reliving a traumatic experience and my heart almost aches for him. From the jigsaw pieces of my memories I can also decipher that me and cap where almost as close as me and Tony, he's in a majority of my memories and we seem to get along well.
"He des--" Tony was cut off by a gun going off again.
"What fuckery do you call this?!" I shout looking down at my stomach as I felt a burning sensation.
Crimson blood was pooling out of a bullet wound. I began feeling light headed, even though I wasn't in the artic fox form a bullet couldn't kill me even in normal form now thanks to Hydra but the avengers don't know that.
"Alex? What happened!" Tony yells joining Steves side who was collapsed next to my partner just staring emotionlessly at 'Bucky's dead body.'
"Im sorry Tony but it's for the best" Natasha says walking from behind me and standing next to Tony with a gun in her hands.
"There was no hope in saving her she's too far under Hydras rule"
"You shot me?" I gag as tears prick my eyes. My hands go the my wound to make it look like I was trying to stay alive.
"Why?" I choke on the blood that begin coming up my throat.
"It's for the best Alex" she repeats glancing at me emotionlessly.
"Alex no you are not dying we were this far away from getting you back" Tony gasps removing his iron mask, revealing a broken looking Tony.
"Why did you shoot her that wasn't the mission!" Tony exasperated as I slowly shuffle back towards my partner. I grab his hand and rest my thumb on his wrist checking for a pulse so I can actually find out if the pill worked. A minute later I felt one beat. I took the blue pill while no one was looking, everyone was looking at Tony and Natashsa arguing, and almost instantly the world began to spin and I felt even more light headed, like my head was about to pop. I glance up at tony who had stopped his bickering and was fighting back tears so hard, I must've meant a damn lot to this man. I rest my head on my partners chest, my eyelids becoming heavy with fatigue as my body seemed to go numb, this must be the pill. My heart beat rang in my ears like a drum as it rapidly slowed down.
"Alex?" Tony's voice sounded faint, I felt a hand grab mine.
"I remember" I mumble before the world went black.
