Time to take back what's mine:Part 2

Alex's Pov

Things between me and Ashanti are going really well. Over the last few weeks we've become extremely close. Not to sound all cheesy but she's my best friend we tell each other everything. I never met a girl that makes me feel the way Ashanti does. I've been spending all my time with her. 😍👌

My baby hasn't been feeling well lately. She's been in bed all week. I was a little disappointed because I wanted us to go out tonight. Ashanti insisted that I still go. She wants me to spend more time with my friends. I swear I love this girl.

I decide to call up my boy Ronnie. I know he'll be down. He stay going to parties and turning up. I grab my phone and dial up his number. After a few things he finally answers.

"Yo Alex was good?" Says Ronnie

"You free tonight?"

"Yeah why what you got planned?" Asks Ronnie

"You how I was supposed to go out with Ashanti?"

"Yeah but she's been real sick lately." Says Ronnie

"I know man that's why I was calling you. She keep saying we need to chill. I was like fuck it why not."

"Exactly she right. You guys are all booed up. You playing hubby but it's cute though. You make her very happy. I haven't seen her so happy in a long time. Whenever I bring your name up baby girl starts cheesing. Y'all are sprung." Says Ronnie

"What can I say your boy got skills. You know how I do. But anyway you down?"

"Of course I'm always in the mood for the club. I need to get away from Jojo's crazy ass. I know I should've never crossed that line. You never start dating your best friend. You know I'm not the type to stay tied down. This relationship thing ain't working for me." Says Ronnie

"Dang that's messed up. You know Jojo will kill you if you do that."

"Nah I'm not worried. Last time I checked she doesn't own me. We aren't married I'm going to do what I want regardless." Says Ronnie

"Alright suit yourself. Just be ready when I get to your house. You know you take forever to get ready." 😒

"What you mean I gotta look good when I go out." Says Ronnie

"Just don't take forever my nigga."

"Keep talking your shit." Says Ronnie

"I can't with you alright bye."

I hang up my phone and jump in the shower real quick.

My shower ends up being 15 minutes long. What can I say I gotta stay fresh.

I send Ashanti a quick text, saying that I love her and I'll check up on her tomorrow.

After my shower I get dressed. Look in the mirror and admire my outfit. I have on some black leather pants. A black shirt and some black Timbs. I grab my gold chain as the finishing touch to my outfit. I take one last look in the mirror and call it a day.

I grab my keys off my dresser and head downstairs.

I make my way outside and jump in my car. My new escalade is my 2nd baby. I put the key in the ignition and pull out of the driveway.

10 minutes I park my car in front of Ronnie's house. I pull over to the curb I see him making his way out of his house. For once he's actually on time. He walks over to my car and gets in.

"I'm shocked nigga you actually made it on time."

"Shut up you know it takes time to look this good. I gotta keep myself looking right. You never know who you might run into." Says Ronnie

"Whatever you say."

I pull off and make my way towards the club. A few minutes later I park my car. We get out and see that the line outside the club is ridiculously long. Good thing I know the bouncer. He opens the red rope and we walk in. People roll they eyes at us. I don't pay them no attention. They just salty that they couldn't get in the club.

As soon as we walk into the club, I see girls smiling at us. I didn't really pay then no mind. I gotta a girl at home. 👌

Ronnie and I make our way over to the VIP section. We sit down and down girls make our way over to us. This girl sits down on Ronnie's lap. The girls friend tries to sit on mine but I wasn't having it. So I said "Nah i'm straight." Girl now a days are so thirsty they will just throw themselves at you.

My boy Ronnie was enjoying himself. He started whispering in the girls ear.
I ordered myself a bottle of Champagne. While I was waiting I noticed a cute girl on the dance floor. She was dancing with some chick. I couldn't place it but I knew they looked mad familiar. Then it hit me that girl dancing was my ex girlfriend Jennifer and her Bestfriend Gia. Jennifer to my surprise hasn't called me lately. When I first started talking to Ashanti she wouldn't stop blowing up my phone.

"Ronnie you won't believe who I just saw."

"Who?" Asks Ronnie pushing the random groupie off his lap.

"Gia and Jennifer."

"What Gia who? The same Gia I smashed. Jennifer as in your ex?" Asks Ronnie

"Yeah that's them look they are on the dance floor right now."

Ronnie looks over at the dance floor.

"Oh shit lets go say hi to them." Says Ronnie with a big ass grin appearing on his face.

I know what he was up to. At first I didn't want to, but then I decided against it. We both got up and left our VIP section. As we walk over to the dance floor I see some dude talk to Jennifer and they start dancing.

We get closer to them and they notice us. Gia runs over to Ronnie and they start hugging up on each other. Jennifer act like she don't see me and continues dancing on some dude. I get in between them and yell "ayo she's taking find somebody else to dance with."

The guy looks up at me and says "Oh Alex man I didn't know she was your girl. My bad partner she's all yours." Says Ricky

Everyone knows who me and Ronnie is. I have mad respect in the streets. Ricky leaves and me alone with Jennifer. She turns to leave but I grab her arm and stop her.

"Where you think you going?"

"Away from you." Snaps Jennifer

"Why you playing with me. You and I both know why you're here. You heard I would be at the club tonight. So you brought your girl with you. Acting like you don't see me. Dance with me?" 😏

"What about your girlfriend? She wouldn't like us dancing together." Says Jennifer

"As if you really even care. Last time I checked I ain't married to that girl. I do what I want. Right now I want you so we're going to dance." I grab her and pull her into my arms.

"Every time I see all the anger and hurt that I feel vanishes." Says Jennifer looking into my eyes."

"You know you can't say no to me. I'll always be your first remember that."

We start dancing but we weren't really paying attention to the music. For a minute it seemed like it was just me and her. There was no music playing we were in our own land. It's crazy how she has that affect on me. One minute I hate her and the next I can't stop thinking about her.

"I miss you I was hoping you felt the same way. I hear you moved on to someone else." Says Jennifer breaking our silence.

"That doesn't mean anything it's not serious. I miss you too."

"Really because you sure don't act like it. Last time I saw you, you were cussing my ass out. Saying that you were done with me and never wanted to see me again." Says Jennifer starting to cry. 🙈

"Stop it I hate when girls cry. I didn't mean to hurt you. Look I'm sorry okay. I love you always have and I always will. You'll always have a place in my heart. We just don't work good together." I say wiping away her tears.

"I don't know why I can't get over you. I tried moving on just like you. It doesn't work no matter who I go with I'll always want you. I just wish you could see that we belong together. What does this girl have that I don't?" Asks Jennifer

"Don't do this lets not get into all of this. Lets just focus on right here and right now. Please just let me hold you."

"I never want you to let me go." Whispers Jennifer into my ear.

She doesn't know how bad I want to take her home with me. I would break up with Ashanti right now. I just can't do that. I'm really feeling her but I still love Jennifer. I haven't really thought about that before. I keep lying to myself acting like I don't miss her. The only reason I'm mean to her is so that I can be strong. She has this spell on me. I finally give in.

"Can I have you for the night?"

"Just the night?" Asks Jennifer

"I need you."

Jennifer doesn't say anything, instead she pulls me down to her and kisses me. I don't even pull away I've been dying to kiss her. Her lips were so soft. Man have I missed her. I bite down hard on her lips.

"Ouch that hurt." 🙊😕 says Jennifer starting to pout.

"Aww your so cute when your mad. I'm sorry I love doing that to you. I kiss her but this time it's slow and gentle.

"Omg this is our song remember?" Asks Jennifer breaking our kiss.

I listen to the song and hear Ginuwine singing "Differences." I remember the first time I sang this song to Jennifer. I used to song to her all the time. I dedicated this song to her. Whenever I messed up, I would sing "Differences" to her. (There's a video of the song on the side.)

"Of course I remember how could I forget."

I start singing along with the song.

Jennifer just looks into my eyes. She's starts smiling and her dimples pop out. God have I missed those adorable dimples. 😍😩👌 I find myself starting to want her all over again.

"Look at the two lovebirds." Says Ronnie walking over with Gia in his arms.

"Where y'all been at?"

"In the VIP section drinking the champagne bottle you ordered. I wasn't going to let it go to waste." Says Ronnie

"I'm not mad I completely forgot about that. Jen let me talk to Ronnie real quick. Would you mind taking Gia with you?"

"It's fine I need to go to the bathroom anyway. You had me crying now my eye liner is all messed up." Says Jen

Jennifer grabs Gia and walk towards the bathroom. Once there gone I talk to Ronnie.

"Don't tell Ashanti about this okay?"

"Why would I do that?" Asks Ronnie

"I don't know lets see she's your friend."

"Don't even trip I gotchu. As long as you don't tell Jojo about Gia. I've been messing around with Gia for 2 months now. I really don't need Jojo in my ear about it." Says Ronnie

"What happens at the club stays at the club. You know I'm not one to run my mouth."

"Thanks man I owe you." Says Ronnie

"Nah we good. Let's just say I'm returning the favor."

"What's up with you and Jennifer? You aren't getting back together?" Asks Ronnie

"No I just got caught up."

"You guys never could stay away from each other." Says Ronnie

"I'm so confused I was really feeling Ashanti. Then tonight I saw Jennifer and all these old feelings came back. I don't know what to do. I know this sounds selfish but why can't I have them both?"

"Who says you can't? No one has to know." 😏😁👌 says Ronnie

"I don't know if that will work." 😳

"You can at least try. The way I see t you owe it to yourself to at least see what's up with Jennifer." Says Ronnie

"Yeah you're right. I never made things official with Ashanti."

"Exactly so do us both a favor and go see. There's no need to keep saying what if. Go and find out for yourself." Says Ronnie

"Look at you trying to be Dr. Phil giving out advice."

"Well Ju know. Listen to yo boy I know a few things." Says Ronnie

"I guess so."

I look up and see Gia and Jennifer leaving the bathroom.

When they finally get back to us, I grab Jennifer.

"I missed you while you were gone."

"I missed you too." Says Jennifer

I take her hand in my and pull her back onto the dance floor. The Dj starts playing "Thinking About You" by my nigga Frank Ocean 😌👌

Me and Jennifer start to slow dance and she lays her head against my chest.

All I can think is what have I gotten myself into. If Ashanti finds out she'll be crushed. That's when I decided I'll just have to make sure she doesn't find out. 🌚
