Chapter 11

Chapter 11 (Almost Perfect)

"Cause I feel like I'm the worst so I always act like I am the best." - Oh no, Marina and the diamonds.  

Third person P.O.V.

The walk to the movies was filled with teasing, laughter, and playful pushing. It looked perfect and to one of them it was. But for the girl it wasn't. In fact for her, it was utter torture. Yet a smile still graced her face and laughter still came out of her lips. If there was one thing that she was good at it was acting. She had her reasons for acting like everything was alright. She had grown fond of the red head and didn't think she needed to burden him with her troubles. Yet the red head could sense something off, although he couldn't tell what but something seemed wrong. But he shrugged it off and just decided to enjoy the time he had with the pretty girl at his side for the night.

(Y/N) P.O.V.

I guess today luck has been on my side. No disturbances have come my way from... that and here I was going to the movies with what I guess I could call a friend. Didn't change the fact though that I wanted to go home curl in a ball and cry. My mind was still replaying the events of the night before and it was making me sick. I hated myself for doing that, even if he was a scumbag what I did was terrible. But it wasn't that hard to smile and laugh while talking with Karma. I felt comfortable around him, it was easy to hold a conversation with him. I liked that.

As we arrived at the movie theatre he told me he had already bought the tickets. So we headed inside and took our seats. Turns out we were seeing a horror movie and as it started I laughed a little. Karma raised an eyebrow at me, "What's so funny?". I shook my head and laughed again, "I just think its funny you brought me to a horror movie. I bet you thought I would get scared and jump into your arms scared." Even in the dark I could see a small tint of red appear on his face and I smirked getting closer to him, "Sorry to burst your bubble but I have no fear." His face got even more red and I leaned back into my seat. It was the first time I had ever seen Karma flustered and I had to admit, it was kinda cute.

Half way into the movie I started getting bored, the movie was just like any other horror movie. Full of jump scares, fake gore, and annoying main characters. Then a sly smirk made its way to my face as I thought of an idea. I took a piece of popcorn and flicked it at the person in front of me. As it landed in their hair I snickered. Karma turned to me and looked at me then the piece of popcorn in the persons hair. A devious smile made its way onto his face and we both started flicking popcorn in the person's hair. When they finally realized what we were doing they turned and glared but we just laughed. In the end, we got kicked out of the movie theatre.

At that point it was late in the night and not many people were out. Karma and I were fooling around chasing each other up and down streets playing a game of tag. Our laughter could be heard for miles as we ran around trying to tag each other. It was in that moment I lost myself and a feeling of happiness actually came over me. It was only for a short while but I loved it. I hadn't felt it in so long. But while chasing Karma down the street while he yelled "You can't catch me! You can't catch me!" I laughed, a real laugh and continued after him. It ended too soon as we found ourselves back at my house out of breath and smiling widely. I stood up finally catching breath. "I had an amazing night Karma, I can't thank you enough." "Oh it was my pleasure sweetheart. Hopefully we can do it again." He winked at me and my face flushed red. "Yeah, hopefully."

It was around 10:00 that I had decided to finish studying for my midterm. Closing my math book I start getting ready for bed when I hear something downstairs. Confused I slowly make my way over to my door and open it without a sound. My eyes widen when I realize the noise I heard was the door opening. Usually there was an alarm but someone must of disabled it. Quickly I slip into my parents room and open their dresser. Under the clothes I find the two guns, ammo, and two knives they kept there in case of emergencies. Putting the ammo in the gun I put it in its holster and attach it to my waist. Gripping the knife in one hand I quietly make my way down the steps. The house wasn't big so whoever was in here wouldn't be able to hid for long.

When I heard the noise come from the kitchen I immediately came out of my hiding place ready to confront the trespasser. I knew the entire lay out of the kitchen there was no way they were getting past me. At least that what I thought because the last thing I did see was a flash of white hair and then a lot of smoke. I felt another person rush past me and I stabbed there arm. A growl of pain come from what I thought was the girl and she ran out the door. I tried to follow her but I got out the door too late and no one was there. "Fuck." I cursed myself for letting whoever it was get away. Walking back into the smoked filled house I opened up the windows to let the smoke out. When I returned to the kitchen my eyes widened, not all the smoke had cleared but I could still se the outline of black words painted on my kitchen wall. Getting closer I could finally make out the words. My eyes widened.

"We are coming."

Alright so that was an eventful chapter! Many things are about to unfold and we are gonna start to see more of (Y/N)'s past and her and Karma's relationship.
