The light was so bright it woke me up. I squinted and sat up. I noticed that Simon was gone, but I heard the shower running in the bathroom. I think I heard singing too.
I stood up and walked over to the bathroom door. I put my ear up to it.
"Don't leave me girl, please stay with me tonight," he sang, stretching out 'tonight'. I instantly recognized the song. Nathan Sykes, 'give it up.' I loved that song. I walked away from the door and sat down on the bed waiting for him to come out.
The water finally cut off and I heard footsteps. The door swung open, and Simon walked out. He had a black t-shirt and pants on. Very plain, but he definitely pulled it off.
"You down checking me out?" He asked smiling. He had a towel, and was trying to dry his wet hair.
"You were singing give it up," I said quietly.
"You heard that?" He asked embarrassed.
"Yeah. I love that song, and you sounded amazing!" I complemented.
"Thanks, but don't tell anyone I like that song. It's kind of girly," he said.
"I won't," I promised.
He smiled and threw the towel on the ground.
"So what trouble are you going to start today?" I asked.
"Ha, ha, your so funny," he said stretching out the so.
"Tell me something I don't know," I joked. I flipped my hair over my shoulder.
"My god Natalie," he said face palming.
"I was thinking about taking you to the Eiffel Tower," he said quietly.
"Sounds great! I'll meet you outside in 10 minutes," I said. I jumped up and walked out the door. I walked into my room and started looking for something to wear. I grabbed shorts, and a orange tank top. I quickly got dressed, brushed my hair and teeth and walked out into the hallway. I saw Simon leaning up against the doorway to his room.
"You ready," he asked. I just nodded.
We walked up to me and put his arm around my shoulders. We walked down the hallways to the elevators. He kept his arm around me all the way to the side walk.
"Do you want to walk, or call a taxi?" He asked.
"How far a walk do you think it is?" I asked.
"Probably about 3 blocks," he replied.
"Then if it's ok with you I'd like to walk," I replied.
He smiled, and I smiled back. He was cute when he smiled. I did not just think that! We started walking forward.
"So how did you sleep?" He asked with that stupid smirk.
"Good, how about you?" I asked laughing at his and attempts to start a conversations.
"Better," he replied.
"What is that supposed to mean?" I said nudging him.
"I slept better than I have in a couple nights," he replied.
"Was there a certain reason, a person specifically," I joked.
He looked at me and smiled. Then he grabbed my shoulders and pushed me against the wall. He moved his arms to my sides.
Our faces were less than an inch away.
"Now that I think about it, there was someone," he whispered. I could feel his breath on my face. I couldn't say anything, I was paralyzed.
After I didn't say anything he slightly laughed. He started to lean in. Very slowly his face came closer to mine. When our lips were less than a centimeter away, he stopped.
"Are you going to stop me?" He asked quietly.
I couldn't say anything.
He chuckled, then pulled away.
Even thought he wasn't trapping me against the wall, I still felt like I couldn't move. What just happened?
"Are you coming?" He asked, clearly amused with the way he affected me.
I finally regained my composure.
"Yeah," I said smiling.
"Something wrong?" He asked with the same dumb smirk as usual.
I punched him in the arm. He just laughed.
"How long till we're there?" I asked changing the subject.
"Not long. Probably a couple blocks," he responded.
The rest of the walk was just us talking about stupid subjects, like who's better. It was of course him, but I wasn't going to admit that to him.
When we got to the Eiffel Tower the sun was already setting. I must of woke up late.
"That's a long walk," I said.
"Not if you take the elevator," he said.
"It has one of those?" I said stupidly. I realized what I just asked.
"Ignore what I said," I said embarrassed.
He burst out laughing, making other people stare.
"Can you be quieter! People are staring!" I whispered.
"What!" He yelled. He was being loud on purpose to get on my nerves.
I punched his arm again.
"Come on," he said laughing.
