Justin's POV

I wiped the tears of my face and got out of the shower. I threw on some sweatpants and didn't bother wearing a shirt.

I laid beside to Ariana, who was sleeping on my bed. I remember when we used lay next to eachother and have pointless conversations and laugh. Sometimes we'd argue and then end up laying on my bed and agreeing that we're both idiots, and then we'd fall asleep.

If only I'd went to Ariana instead of calling Darwin. Or even if I'd called my mom and had her comfort me, I'd be a better person.

"Justin?" Ariana said in a faint voice.

"Ari! You're awake!"

"Yeah, what happened?" she asked sitting up.

"Well, you got mad at me and started running out of my house. Then you blacked out."

"Why was I running out of your house?"

"That's not important right now. It's my birthday and it's present-opening time. Ok?"

That came out a little harsh. Oops. Ariana gave me a confused look.

"Um, Ok then. Which present are we gonna open first?" she asked.

I held the scrapbook in the air. Her eyes sparkled at the sight of it. She smiled. I could tell she'd been waiting for this to happen.

"Let's look through it together!" I cheered.

She nodded. We sat criss-cross on my bed. I held the scrapbook so both of us could see it. I turned to the page labeled 'The first day'. Ariana's eyes lit up. I could tell she was thinking about it.

-Flashback-

"OH MY GOD JUSTIN?! I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE COMING TO THIS CAMP!" Ariana yelled running towards me.

We hugged eachother tightly. I loved her hugs. They were warm and sweet.

"Well you do now" I whispered in her ear.

We let go of each other and smiled. We got in the registration line (where you get your cabins and camp schedules). I looked at the piece of paper the guy handed me.

It said:

Justin Bieber - Cabin #43

Activity Schedule:

1- Skateboarding

2- Hiking

3- Knots Factory

Lunch

4- Mountain Climbing

5- Canoeing

6- Journaling

Dinner

Then it had a bunch of information on when we have free time and when we're supposed to be at our cabins and stuff like that.

Ariana ran towards me with her registration paper. We quickly switched papers. Ugh. We only had one activity together and it was canoeing. At least it was the fun activity.

"We have canoeing together!" Ariana squealed and then hugged me.

"Ok everyone. I am Chief Jones and I will be giving you all directions for today" I heard this 'Chief Jones' person say.

I turned around to face Chief Jones. He was a tall man. He looked like he was in his 50s or 60s. Chief Jones could be Santa Claus, but he was to skinny.

"First you will all go to your cabins and put your belongings there. After that, you will proceed to 5th activity and follow your schedule from there. I hope you kids have an amazing summer at camp Forest Glenn!" he said and left.

Luckily, Ari and I had the same cabin.

"Let's race to our cabin! Last one there is a rotten egg!" I said as I started running.

I pretended to run slow because I felt bad for Ari. She ended up winning and started boasting. I rolled my eyes. She was so clueless.

"I get the top bunk!" I said climbing to the top bunk.

Ari pulled me down. "No! I do!"

"Why?!"

"Because I won!"

"Whatever" I said putting my stuff on the bottom bunk.

Ariana could be so irritating sometimes!

We went to our first activity. There were 5 canoes lined up on the shore of the lake. The instructor started to give us directions. I glanced at Ari. She looked scared as hell.

We put on our life jackets. The instructor put us into groups of three. Each group got assigned a canoe. Ariana was in my group. Yes!

Our canoe's name was Chief Joseph. It was old and rusty. It didn't look very safe.

Everyone got on their canoe's except Ariana.

"I don't wanna go. I'm scared." she admitted.

Some kids started laughing. I'll take care of them later.

"Come on Ari it'll be fun" I said.

She shook her head. The instructor said something to her. She shook her head again.

That's it. I got off the canoe and walked towards her.

"Trust me Ari. It'll be fun"

"But what if I fall" she whispered.

"I'll catch you if you fall"

She smiled and nodded. I helped her on the canoe before I got on.

We paddled our way on to the water. Our canoe was very shaky. Any moment now the canoe would tip over. Well it felt like it.

"Justin! I'm scared! I'm going to fall out!" Ariana yelled almost crying.

Our canoe tooke a sharp turn. I heard someone scream. I looked in front of me. Ariana fell overboard! Shit.

"ARIANA!" I yelled before jumping into the water.

I saw her trying to stay afloat. I swam towards her. She was just about to sink, but I got her.

I took her back to shore and screamed for help. Everyone came rushing towards us.

"What happened?!" the instructor asked.

"She fell out the canoe!"

Ariana started coughing and gasped for air.

"Ari! Are you ok?!" I asked.

"Yeah. I'm fine. Thanks Justin."

"Oh, it was nothing." I said smiling.

"You're a lifesaver" she said.

I smiled so big. I was her lifesaver.

-End of Flashback-

"Justin? Earth to Justin." Ariana waved her hand in front of my face.

"Oh hey," I said.

She giggled. She was so cute.

"Remembering the 1st day of camp, huh?" she asked.

I nodded. I gave her a tight hug. I didn't want to let go. I was afraid I was going to lose her again.

"I missed you so much" I whispered.

"I missed you too, lifesaver" she said.
