Ariana's POV

I looked up at the destroyed tree house. It may look bad, but the memories that were made there were so precious that what it looked like didn't even matter.

Justin climbed up the rope and I followed. Nothing had changed since the last time I saw it. Ok, maybe it felt like the tree house was about to collapse any minute now but everything else is fine.

I looked at the wall behind me. It had graffiti all over it.

"Really Justin? Graffiti?" I pointed to the graffiti.

He looked to the wall and shrugged. "It's my escape."

"I thought music was your escape?"

"Yeah that too."

I rolled my eyes. Justin wasn't acting like himself right now. He acted as if he had something better to do and it's like I didn't matter to him. I sat down next to him on the small old couch.

"Is something bothering you?" I asked.

"I dunno"

"What do you mean you don't know?"

He shrugged. "I dunno"

I gave him a confused look. He pulled out his phone and started scrolling through it.

I sighed. Does he not want me around? He looked bored out of his mind and I could tell he was annoyed but I didn't know why.

I looked around the tree house and saw the small closet my father had added as an extension. Lightbulb. I walked over to the closest and opened it.

There was all sorts of things there and they brought back so many memories. I saw the mini Christmas tree and brought it out. I decorated it with small torches to give it light.

I went back into the closet and took out the box that contained all kinds of decorative things. I started searching through it for two specific Christmas ornaments that we hung every year for Christmas.

Yes! I found them! The small glittery purple guitar ornament and the pink glittery microphone ornament. I got them out and walked out of the closet.

"Justin! It's Christmas! Get off your phone and stop being a poop!" I yelled.

Justin looked up and noticed his surroundings. He looked at me with a what-in-the-actual-fuck look. I smiled and held up the ornaments.

"It's the beginning of March." he said.

"I know. Duh. I'm not stupid."

"Well you obviously are since you think Christmas is on my birthday!"

I sighed.

"It's been 2 years since the last time we spent Christmas with eachother. I just wanted to catch up, but if you're not in the mood for all this I can just put all this up."

I got up to put everything away.

"By the way, I'm sorry I'm annoying you" I said.

I walked to the closet to put the ornaments back, but before I could Justin hugged me from behind.

"Stop. Who says you were annoying me and who says I'm not in the mood?" he asked in a low voice.

I struggled to get out of Justin's arms and face him, but he was just to strong. I sighed.

"You're acting bored out of your mind and you're on your phone paying no attention to me. Everytime I try to start a conversation, you make it impossible." I said.
