The next day, at breakfast, RILEY and TOPANGA are quietly sitting at the table. RILEY's relationship troubles have been bothering her again, and she blurts out.
RILEY: When did you know it was Dad?
TOPANGA: (considering) I always thought it... but I knew when we were sixteen. My parents were moving to Pittsburgh, but neither of us wanted me to go. So I snuck out and came back to Philadelphia, and showed up at his house, and it was raining and I was soaked (laughs, reminiscing). And we were all sitting in his living room and his parents were yelling and Cory, Cory stood up and said—

RILEY: You remember exactly what he said.
