Inside Topanga's after school that day, RILEY is frustrated, sad, angry, etc. She just wants to finish her stuff at the diner so she can go home and lay in bed and sort out her feelings. She definitely does not want to talk to anyone. Naturally, that's exactly when Lucas approaches, wanting to talk.

LUCAS: Riley--

RILEY: I'm not in the mood for this, Lucas. (walks away, carrying on with the work she's doing)

LUCAS: Well, I want to talk about it.

RILEY: (sharply) I don't.

LUCAS: Then when can we?

RILEY: I don't think we should.

LUCAS: Why not?

RILEY: (irritably) Because it's not going to change anything!

LUCAS: Riley, you're acting like a child.

RILEY: A child? I've been called far worse.

LUCAS: Like what?

RILEY: Your girlfriend!

LUCAS stares. RILEY knows she crossed the line.

RILEY CON'T: (quietly) I told you I didn't want to talk...

LUCAS leaves the bakery without another word. RILEY goes back to the work she was doing. After a few seconds, she realizes what she said and goes running after him.

RILEY: (shouting) Lucas, wait!
