Ethan was not in my English class. I was nervous the whole time. I left the classroom a bunch of times trying to find him or his brother in the hallways, but I was not lucky.
I am currently in communication technology class waiting for class to start. I watch as Grayson walks down the classroom to his seat. He looks calm and collected. He does not know.
I follow him to the back of the classroom to where he sits.
"Where is your brother Grayson?" I ask him. He slowly sits down on his seat with an unsettle look on his face.
"He is at home. He didn't feel well," he responds slowly placing his backpack on the floor. "Why are you asking?"
I look at him trying to put my words together. I cannot think about what to say.
"Oh no," he says looking up at me. "Johanna what happened?"
I feel a sharp pain in my chest. I place my hand on his desk and my other on my heart.
"He isn't home Grayson," I say almost in a whisper. I can tell that he believes me.
He grabs my arm and we both run towards the door.
"MR. DOLAN! MS. KING! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" Ms. Taylor yells.
"We have to go!" Grayson yells. I am starting to get light headed and dizzy.
We both turn towards the door a run out of the classroom. We run down the hallway and down the stairs.
"Grayson wait," I say stopping in the middle of the hallway. I bend over and place my arms on my legs. My legs are starting to get we and my vision is getting blurry.
I watch Grayson as he drops to his knees
"Hanna.... it's wolfsbane." Grayson says quietly. "Someone... somehow got wolfsbane into our systems."
I drop to the floor and start to cough uncontrollably. I see Grayson fall to the floor as well. The hallway starts to spin around me.
"Oh my gosh! JOHANNA! SOMEONE HELP!" I hear someone yell from down the hallway. It was probably Naomi, but I cannot tell.
I turn around and place my back onto the floor. The lights above me are shining so bright that they start to pain my eyes. I can't keep them open much longer. I feel myself slowly starting to fade away.
Save him Johanna. You promised to save him.
