Prologue:

Ana' s Point of View

I woke up to the sound of my younger, crazy sister knocking on my door.

"Ana, Get off your lazy ass!" She shouted through the door. I put my pillow over my head, trying to ignore my demon sister but the knocking just got louder and louder the longer I stayed in bed.

"I said, get off your lazy ass!" She repeated, a little louder.

"Fine, just give me a minute!" I shouted back, resting my head back on the pillow again. How did my life get so messed up?! My parents thought my little sister was an angel, while really she was devil's spawn. My parents didn't really love me, they just said they did and blamed me for everything that goes wrong in this world. The only escape I had was school, but who wants to spend time there? The only things that kept me from not killing myself was music, my small group of friends... and One Direction. I know, it's silly and childish to fangirl over a boy band, but the truth was, I felt like a little kid, regardless of the fact that I was almost 18. I never really wanted to grow up, pay taxes and get a job. I just wanted to stay me. I knew I never could though, unless I became famous but that was like a one in a million shot. Then an idea hit me.

What if I did become famous? What if I got onto a show, like the x factor, or American idol? It was worth a shot, wasn't it? Why not at least try? At the very least It would get me out of this hell hole for a couple days. Sure, why not.

I grabbed my laptop, opened it up and got onto the internet. I ran through my options in my mind.

Dancing With the Stars? No, you already have to be famous for that, or a professional dancer, which, unfortunately, I am neither.

American Idol? My singing voice is good, but nobody watches that show anymore.

The X Factor? People watched it and I had a pretty good singing voice. I could probably get famous off of that, if I really worked at it. Sure. Let's try the X Factor.

I found the sign up sheets online and filled them out, careful not to make a mistake. Once I had read and re-read the form multiple times, I decided it was ready for submission and I clicked the send button.

Just as I had finished, I heard another knock at my door and my dad's voice on the other side.

"Get the hell up before I come in there and make you get up!" He yelled.

I quickly got dressed and walked out into the living room where I saw my sister playing on her cell phone.

"Finally decide to get off of your lazy, whorey, ass, bitch?" She asked with a smirk on her face.

"Go to hell." I mumbled under my breath and I walked away.

Time for another horrible day.
