You loaded into the chopper, your equipment weighing you down slightly as you jumped in after Lennox and took a seat on his right, while Epps settled in on his left.
“So, Shanghai, huh?” You asked and Lennox nodded while he bit his lip. Who knew what the Decepticons could bring this time…
“Black Ops, clear to land.” The voice radiated through the helicopter’s speakers.
“That’s us.” You said, looking up at the ceiling, and then to the soldiers surrounding you.
“All right, listen up. China’s cover story on this one is ‘toxic spill’. They had to evac the area for search and rescue. This makes six enemy contacts in eight months. We gotta make sure this one does not get out in the public eye, so keep it tight.” Lennox announced, and you nodded and wiped the sweat from your brow. Here goes nothing, right?
The helicopter landed precisely in a small clearing, and you followed closely behind the Major as you disembarked.
“Just another day,” You muttered, your gun held close to you as you trudged through the trees to the street as a large black GMC Topkick flew down it. It came to a halt and Lennox patted its hood with a rough affection.
“Alright, Ironhide. We got echoes. Vamos.”
You looked up with a smirk as the truck began to transform, and in a few seconds, a giant machine stood on two feet towering above you.
“You ready, Ironhide?” You smiled and he directed his gaze to you.
“Let’s get this over with.” The familiar booming gruff voice stated irritably.
“You betcha.”
Ironhide began to look around and sniff the air.
“He’s here. I smell him.”
“Alright, let’s go!”
You ran hunched through the shrubs and dilapidated Chinese homes to find Lennox and Epps hidden behind a storage container, crouching over some type of machine.
“What’ve we got?” You asked, and Epps turned to you slightly and showed you the monitor.
“Thermal ripple.” You readjusted your gun, and began to creep forwards as Lennox spoke into the mic.
“Right, everybody, be steady. We’re right on top of it.” His voice was hushed, and you took two more steps forwards before you heard the familiar sound of metal transforming, and a large explosion took place near the concrete tubes to the east of you.
“Shit!” Your eyes suddenly caught a frozen soldier who was staring in shock and you ran and pushed them out of the way of a large concrete cylinder. “Just ‘cuz you’re new doesn’t mean I’m going to keep saving your life, Smith!” You shouted in his face before pushing him away from you and beginning to shoot.
“Eagle Niner!” You heard Lennox’s voice ring through the speaker in your helmet. You watched as the transformer moved onto one wheel and began roll down the street, explosions left in its path.
“Panther 1 requesting fire mission now!” Epp’s voice now rang out but you ignored it and continued your chase.
You were drowning out the military personnel who were also shouting in your ear, but you knew the back up that was coming wouldn’t be much help. You knew what you needed, and you could only hope they were near.
You watched in horror as the Decepticon smashed the helicopter that was coming your way, and you threw yourself into a thicket of bushes, narrowly dodged the helicopter as it burst into flames.
“We got a second Decepticon.” The speaker crackled
“Bad news…” You muttered, as you picked yourself up off the ground and took cover behind a steel box.
“Arcee twins! Target coming your way! Riley! Get back here!”
You obliged, and sprinted out from behind your shelter and headed towards the rest of the squad. When you arrived Lennox glared at you a moment before shouting more demands into the microphone.
You followed the NEST squad and listened as the Major yell to bring in Sideswipe. Within seconds your headset crackled to life.
“Decepticon #2 taken out.” Sideswipe’s deep voice echoed. Ironhide sped towards you, with a Hummer close behind, their tires squealing against the pavement as they came to a rushed halt. The squad’s piled into the hummer and you were about to follow when Lennox looked back to you and held up a hand.
“Take Ironhide.” You nodded once, and jumped off the Hummer and into the driver’s seat of the black GMC truck.
“Let’s go.” You smirked, placing your hands on the wheel and pretended to drive as Ironhide shot forwards.
"I can drive better without your hands on the wheel, Riley." The low voice grumbled over the stereo, and you chuckled as you held your hands up in surrender.
"Sorry."
“Air support, we need Big Buddha dropped right now!” You heard Epps yell into a walkie-talkie.
“Cyclone 98, final attach hitting in 120.” The voice crackled in response. “Clear to drop in five, four, three, two, one.” You peered out the window to watch the skies as the enormous Mack truck was dropped from the carrier plane. It shot towards the ground for a moment before it transformed into a large robot, a few new guns strapped to his back.
Optimus Prime dropped from the sky, white parachutes gradually slowing his fall.
“Autobots, I’m in pursuit.”
Optimus shot forwards, his gun brandished as he shot a hole into the Decepticon's abdomen. It sparked and twitched before it fell off the highway and into a large warehouse, destroying the roof as it did so.
Ironhide had been driving below, and you watched in awe as the Decepticon fell off the freeway, to hit the ground of the warehouse before you. The ground shook as he hit, and it wasn't long before Optimus jumped off the remains of what was a highway and landed in front of you as well. The whole truck seemed to be launched a feet into the air before hitting back down and coming to a halt.
You clambered out of the Ironhide’s cab and heard him transforming behind you. You crept in behind the Optimus, your gun still steady in your hands as you prepared to assist Optimus in anyway possible. You recognized Lennox’s footsteps and knew he was beside you as you stared at the sparking heap of metal.
“Punk ass Decepticon!” Ironhide spat at it, and Optimus held him back with a simple gesture of an arm.
“Any last words?” Optimus asked, his voice controlled and patient.
“This is not your planet to rule. The Fallen shall rise again.” It sputtered.
You felt yourself grimace. “That doesn’t sound so good…”
“Not today.” Optimus growled, and blasted it in two.
