I decide to go visit my parents seeing as their house is only 10 minuets away from the grave. That's why we had her burried there. So that we could see her often. Walking down the thin curvy pathway I turn my phone back on. Calls and text messages pop up quicker that they did they might of the party. I decide to just post on a facebok group that has me, Noah, Autumn, Kyle, Mark and Leah in it. They all read it straight away and send back messages of relief to my sentence saying "I went to my parents. I'm fine." That however doesn't stop Noah from calling me. "Noah ,why'd you call me? I'm kind of busy my my phones soon going to die" that was actually a lie my phone was on 60% but right now I honestly just wanted to be by myself. "I only wanted to know if you was okay? Don't be so snappy with me" his voice sounds croaky like he had a cold. "I'm fine, sorry I just want to be alone right now." "Ok" his one word response makes me feel quilty that I've pissed him off. "Whys your voice so croaky?" I ask whilst walking onto my parents street. "Well after you dissapeared I ran after you but you was already gone, so then I looked all over the school and the area in the rain. Now I'm pretty sure I'm dying from a cold" I roll my eyes at his slight over dramatic ness. "I'll be home soon. Okay I have to go now! Bye!" After a few seconds silence he says "well so much for looking forward to saying Thankyou! ,bye love you?" "Love you too." I end the call and knock on my parents door. My dad answers it and when he sees me his whole face lights up. "Who is it dear?" My mothers calm voice shouts from the living room. I walk in and place down my bag and coat to hug them both. "Sorry it's been a while..." I say shyly. It really has been ,I promised I'd see them every month. Now I haven't seen them for 2, nearly 3. "Its fine dear! So how was college?" She sounds excited to see me I guess? I hesitated on whether or not to tell her everything that's happend, but she's got enough already on her mind. "It's fine. I got the new job. My first shift is tonight! Also there's someone I want you to meet one day?" I glance around the old beige living room. The brown carpets now fading and the leather sofa is cracking. "A boy?" My dad's deep voice asks. I nod my head. "We've been together for a few months. He's helped me through a lot" "how did you meet? Same classes?" Mum pressures for more details. "Actually, no. He's my um roommate?" I say the last word carefully waiting for them to explode. They dont. "His name is Noah, he's 19 and emjoys photography just like me. Also it's really scaring me your not saying anything? Please?" I need to know what they think. Mum lets out a huge sigh. She doesn't look tired. Tho I'm sure she is with the cancer worse everyday. "Well you're 18 in a week, you are nearly an adult. If your happy with him and he loves you then I'm okay with it, but I do want to meet him first so I can decide if he's right for my daughter" I smile back at my dad "he is" I tell them how I went to visit my isters grave because I missed her and why I'm came her instead of school. Suddenly my mothers voice interrupts us both. "Oh! We have something to tell you! We kind of forgot!" I look at my father who is now smiling widely at my mother. The doctors made a mistake ,the cancer has gone!" My parents began crying along side me. "I'm so happy for you Mum!" I actually am, she's been through so much so deserves happiness.
I glance at my watch which reads 1:00 my shift starts in 1 and a half hours. Its from 2:30 - 7:00. 4 and a half hours which gives me a hour to get home and 2 hours to go to work. It's only 4 and a half hours but I'm only working part time and it's better than nothing, the pay is £9 per hour as it's a high company. Who knows maybe this will change my mind about learning photography?
