It's finally the football game and I know we're gonna win, if we don't I'm gonna beat Grayson's ass because we have a flipping record to uphold. Our school is known for winning majority of sporting competitions and loosing the first football game of the year would just be shameful. But by now you should know I'm extremely determined because I'm gonna do all I can to make sure everyone is at the top of their game.

You might be thinking, how can us on the sidelines benefit the players, the players need our enthusiasm to spur them on.

All the cheerleaders are sat in the changing room, everyone of us identical, with our same cheerleader uniform and ribbons in our hair.

It's not exactly the most stylish thing to wear ever but it's definitely an improvement from the oppositions scatty outfits.

I scan the room and everyone either looks extremely nervous or distracted, they all need to get their head in the game.

"Everyone listen up," I yell and all eyes slide to me, finally they actually look a little more alerted and ready.
"This is the first match of the season so I want a win tonight or else you're gonna all have a 4 hour abs session tomorrow," I threaten them and I hear a huge amount of groans circle round the room. Sometimes you need to be tough to get them to do what you want.
"If the crowd is unmotivated work your hardest to make them cheer again, we need our side to way louder than the opposition so we can secure the win!"

"We knew that already," sneers Chelle from the back of the locker room, off course she would have to test my nerve right before the game.

"Well you might but this is a lot of people's first time," I say professionally because I don't want to loose it in front of everyone again.

"Well no one actually cares about what your saying," she laughs while tightening her hair tie.

I take a step closer to her and I know everyone's gonna expect me to have some outburst but I'm not in the mood.

"When did I ever care about what people thought about me," I snap at her and I think that's the end of it but I guess not...

"Well until Georgia came along," she smirks, knowing she struck a nerve.

Don't let her get to you or you'll prove her right.

I take a deep breath in and walk forward so I'm face to face with Chelle.

"You know me too well Chelle," I whisper, "but don't test my patience again."

She studies my face, she's stunned that I haven't had a massive go at her.

"Let's make our way to the field," I yell at the team and they immediately stand up and walk out the room behind me.

We head onto the field and the crowd erupts into a frenzy of cheering. We make our way to the middle of the field and get into two rows. We face the other teams cheerleader squad in their tacky outfits and I can't help but laugh aloud.

I spot the cheerleading captain from the other team and we lock eyes. I've never taken a liking to Aspyn Reeves because she's like a bootleg version of me. Obviously bleached blonde hair as the brown roots seep through, her skin is a tad too pale, dull brown eyes, her hips a little too wide, something is just a little off about her. May I add she has a worse attitude problem than me.

We start with the introduction of the routine, throwing our pom-poms in the air and doing several tricky dance moves. We chant our school motto and our side of the crowd drowns out the opposition, it makes me smile harder.
