Thank god Science is over. Who really needs to know about Electrolysis?

I head into the food court as it's finally lunch and head over to the popular table. Yes I said the popular table. As cliché as it sounds, we have one.

Hon, life's a walking cliché.

The table is basically just filled with all the jocks and cheerleaders. Not just anyone can sit there.

I settle down in a seat next to Grayson and Piper, I'm in too much of a mood to go up and get some food so I order one of the freshmen cheerleaders to buy lunch for me.
"Get me the tuna salad and some mineral water," I command and the girl hurries to the line.

Grayson frowns at me for a second but then his expression softens.

"Lets get our lunch ourselves," I roll my eyes and stand up, I tell the girl she no longer needs to buy it for me and I go to the back of the line.

"What you doing?" He asks and I frown, umm maybe I'm lining up to get my food.
"I thought a queen never waits," he smirks and a grin plasters on my face.

He grabs my wrist and pulls me to the front of the line, a few people roll their eyes but no one dares say anything.

Ah Cafeteria food sucks, there is no question about it. Bland chicken, withered lettuce, soggy burgers and the usual stale pizza. Something so grotesque shouldn't even be in a mile radius of me. The thought of it changing is just another dream that will never come true.

Once we've ordered our sloppy mess which is meant to be classes as food, we head back to the rowdy table of populars.

I'm talking to Piper when I hear one of Grayson's friends say, "that new girls pretty fit, whats her name again?"
My head straight away turns towards the boys when I hear the mention of the new girl. She's nothing special, just any other girl that melts into the crowd of clones.

"I think her names Georgia Matthews," shrugs Grayson. My heart stops for a second and I'm glued to the spot. He remembered her name. Grayson only remembers the name of people who are significant to him.

I restrain myself from having one of my outbursts. "Oh how do you know her?" I ask trying to sound as casual as possible.
"Science," Grayson answers back in a slow tone, confused on the sudden interest.
"Why you so interested?" Chelle smirks from the other side of the table and suddenly all eyes on me. They know I'm being tested, they're ready for me to squirm. I'm not giving them the pleasure.

Grayson snakes his arm around my waist as he sees the unease in my expression.
"Just curious," I reply simply, hoping that all the gazes will disperse. Luckily, everyones attentions turns away but Chelle is still giving me a satisfied grin.
I'm not done just yet.

"Chelle why don't you tell us about how you hooked up with Louis Smith this summer," I smirk and her face grows bright red. She didn't know I knew about her little fling with the school mascot. He's a laugh sure but definitely not kind of kid you date.

All eyes are on Chelle now and people just start to ask her questions about it, her face going more crimson by the minute. She sends me a death stare, Chelle should know not to mess with the Queen.

The thought of Georgia is still there. The thought of them too socialising makes me nauseous. Grayson is so out of her league but she was still worthy enough to be remembered by him.

+++

First cheerleading practise of the year and my hearts just not in it. That newbie put me in a shitty mood. Cheers.

"Ok everyone gather around," I yell to all the cheerleaders, Chelle by my side.
"Ok has everyone got the choreography now." Everyone nods, even if they haven't go it they don't want to make me mad.
"So lets go from the top, full out."

I got to my starting point and Chelle comes up to me with a stupid moody expression.

"Why am I not on the top of the pyramid?" She whines with her annoying voice. Well Chelle, it's because you're too heavy from all those McDonalds you had over the summer and you'll break everyones backs at the top.

I can't be arsed to argue so I just mumble, "you're not light enough."

She storms off to her position, calm down gurl.

Three.

Two.

One.

We start our routine after two hours of perfecting it.

I do a perfect layout along the front with three others, while a group of girls throw a soft more in the air and catch here, we repeat this multiple times. Then we go into the next sequence and I perfectly land my triple backflip, grinning to myself then I do the lift with Piper at the front, while others to multiple tricks.

Time for the big pyramid, piper is making her way to the top and I hold me breath, hoping she won't fall. Fortunately, it goes perfectly, she puts her hands up with a huge smile on her face.

We go into the final sequence for today, finally ending with the splits.

"Well done guys, there are a few things to fix but that was actually decent," I inform them.
"Okay that's the end of training. Tomorrow's training is cancelled because of the freshmen tryouts but I expect you all to be there to help me pick the new assets to our team."

Everyone looks completely knackered and so pleased to leave but you need to work them hard to win.

When I'm heading towards the changing room, Chelle comes towards me.
"Did you see me land that triple back flip?" I ask smiling. Don't you just love proving people wrong? Especially when it's miss I-know-everything.

"Yeh," she mutters, admitting defeat, this is priceless.
"You were pretty good out there today" she says, that's first compliment I've ever heard from her.

I just nod in satisfaction but I knew there would be a but, "but you need to calm down a bit, people are starting to see something is up," she informs me and I scowl.

"Frowning causes stress lines so I would advice not to," she laughs and is about to walk off. I can't let her have the last word.

Sorry but you can't out sass this queen.
Ignore how cliché I'm being.

"I could say the same about you," I smirk, I know I've won.
She storms out to the locker room and I follow slowly behind. I quickly check the list of the participants who are auditioning for the cheer team, to see how many there are.
I scan the names to see if I recognise anyone.

And there at the bottom of the list is that flipping name. The girl who has just waltzed in here. She desires everything I have.

Georgia Matthews.

Hell no.
