Kol sat peacefully on the sofa with Davina asleep with her head rested on Kol's lap in the living room late at night. They had been stuck in the enclosed house for a few hours now and there had yet not been any signs of Dahlia and Esther or even an army.
'You did good with that one.' Kol heard someone say from behind him, he turned around to see Hayley.
She was obviously talking about how Kol made a good decision creating a relationship with Davina; after all she had changed him in ways he never thought of. Becoming Mystic Falls enemy to the saviour and fiance of a young teenage Harvest girl.
'Mmhh, I believe I did.' Kol replied looking down at Davina's soft olive skin resting on her.
'You know when I met Davina she predicted that I was married to Klaus, so I we made a little plan to seek revenge for his so called good deeds.' Hayley joked remembering how she met Davina in the garage of the Compound several years ago.
'So now you're going to propose that you continue your revenge with her and let me guess you want me to join on your little joy ride too.' Kol joked back.
'Well I would but I wouldn't want to end up buried in a box.' Hayley replied relating to Klaus' type of punnishment.
'That would be a good idea.' Kol spoke up looking at Davina still.
'What I was saying was...Davina has done so much for us. She protected me, Hope, Camille, Rebekah, Elijah and after all my predicaments she protected Klaus. And now she's doing it all again. You made a good choice choosing not to stay with the old tarts you find in the bar everyday.' Hayley said judging the ladies Klaus would chose in a bar late at night when he was drunk.
'Well you should have seen her at the bar the other night: kissing the other men and all.' Kol explained the previous night when Davina had become quite drunk after several shots and glasses of bourbon.
'Oh really? I could picture Davina drunk but kissing other men is another story.' Hayley laughed.
'She seems to like annoying me.' Kol spoke back.
'Who doesn't, Klaus is the best to wind up.' Hayley said back smugly.
'So you have been the one causing all these problems with Hope and Klaus' relationship?' Kol asked in his charming British manner.
'I want what's best for Hope, and at the moment Klaus doesn't seem to be showing any signs of wanting a relationship with his own daughter.' Hayley said back in a slightly annoyed tone.
'Someone once told me not to control it but let it happen. Just let him do what he wants to do. My brother is many things- loyal definitely not one of them but when it comes to family: 'always and forever' is not just an excuse.' Kol spoke back reminding himself of what Mary Alice Claire had said to him a few weeks ago.
'Never thought of you as part of the 'Klaus Mikaelsson fan club'.' Hayley joked back.
'That I am not, Hope on the other hand is.' Kol gestured to Klaus and Hope sat in the kitchen together painting a picture of the vase on the counter. Hayley smiled at the sight of this but she still felt annoyed in a way jealous, she wanted to be doing that- but she did not share the same skills for art as Klaus did and she had just spent the last five years with Hope while Klaus lay lifeless in a coffin in order to save his siblings, daughter and in fact Hayley.
'Oh dear, we can just clear it up.' Klaus said to his daughter from the kitchen as Hayley and Kol cleared around to see a paint pot spilt across the table.
'Or not then.' Klaus said as Hope flicked some paint at her father. Klaus flicked some back.
'Hey!' Hope said and grabbed a pot of paint and threw it at Klaus.
'KLAUS!' Elijah shouted as he rushed down the stairs with Freya and Rebekah close behind him.
'Wake up love.' Kol whispered nudging Davina as she woke up to see the tension surrounding and filling the air of the room.
'What's going on?' Davina asked Kol quietly as she straightened her back up and adjusted to the light.
'I have no bloody idea.' Kol replied looking at Elijah not understanding what had happened or what was going to happen. His best guest was Esther.
'They're here.' Elijah said. Klaus sped to the window and looked through the gap in one of the wooden planks. Hundreds of thousands of witches, wolves and vampires marched towards the mansion.
'Hayley take Hope, Freya and Davina go with them. Rebekah stay here with Kol. Elijah with me.' Klaus demanded to the group of supernatural's.
Kol held Davina's head in his hands gently.
'Stay safe, I do still desire to see you in that white dress on our wedding day.' Kol said as he kissed Davina's forehead.
'I'm not leaving you here with an army of psychotic monsters.' Davina replied now able to hear the savages at the gates of the mansion. Screaming and yelling smothered the front lawn, a fire approaching was visible from the flames of wooden torches coming towards them with rage.
'Don't worry about me my love. GO now!' Kol demanded again practically pushing Davina away. Davina quickly turned around and kissed Kol on the lips passionately begging for it not to be the last one or one of them. Davina followed Freya and Hayley, who had Hope rested on her hip, as they ran to a different room- the basement.
Davina quickly closed the door of the basement and blocked it with a nearby bookshelf as she locked it and ran down the stairs. For a mansion of this size the basement was quite confined.
'How are we meant to stay down here?' Davina asked as she looked around at the closing in walls.
'There's a series of tunnels under the house, they lead into the compound. Curtesy of Klaus' paranoia for Marcel's enquiries.' Freya said as she opened up a door on the floor.
'We can't leave them here, Esther will kill them.' Hayley said as she looked back up the stairs and heard a scream of a victim, not one of the siblings- an enemy trying to enter the house.
'We won't leave just yet, just keep the tunnel door open and we will leave if we have to.' Freya said as she sat beside the opened door.
'Does anybody know about these tunnels?' Davina asked looking down the hole which lead to a ladder that went down into the tunnels.
'Only Klaus, Rebekah, Elijah and us- Kol doesn't even know; he wasn't trusted in case he opened his mouth too wide in front of any of your friends.' Freya said. They obviously didn't trust Kol not to tell Davins, yet again it was because Davina had a lot of enemies watching her every move and if anybody heard about the tunnels they would know how to enter into the mansion uninvited or invited.
'What friends?' Davina scoffed knowing all her friends were either dead, missing or going against her.
'We may not be your friends but we are family.' Hayley said holding Hopes hand tight as the little girl stood on her own feet.
'Even if you pass out because you drink.' Hope butted in, she knew a lot, some of which she shouldn't, for her own age.
'Right...Kol needed an excuse of to why you were unconscious at the party.' Freya assumed but Hope was not interested in the slightest which helped a bit as then she wouldn't have heard what was said.
I am so sorry this is so short and I haven't updated in a while but I had a lot to do, but I am going to update a few more. I will need some ideas if you want input.
