Chapter 17: The Calling

Aphmau came back inside crying softly. As he walked Katelyn saw her and asks.

"Aphmau? Why are you... Crying?"

"Zenix.. He.. He disappeared. He said there might be a chance that he's not coming back. And if he comes back.. He's not the Zenix we know anymore.."

"GAAHH!!" Someone yelped in Pain. Aphmau and Katelyn ran to where they heard.

"Laurence?" Cadenza places a hand on her brothers shoulders.

"It hurts! I can't see ANYTHING! Why are you Guys RED!? Cadenza! Help me!!" Aphmau's eyes widened. As she saw.. Laurence's eyes where red. As there where cracks that surrounded it.

"WHATS HAPPENING!?" Laurence broke down to his knees.

"Laurence!? Brother..? Are you ALRIGHT? Oh my Irene your eyes!" Cadenza panicked.

"What's.. Going on..?" Aphmau walked up to Laurence. Suddenly his voice changes.

"KILL THE DESCENDANT. SACRIFICE THE DESCENDANT AND SHAD WILL LIVE."
Laurence hovers in thin air as Aphmau fell down to the floor.

"L-laurence..?" Aphmau said shakingly.

As Laurence looked down.. He saw Aphmau crying.

"Aphmau?" He stood now to his foot. Closing his eyes and turning back to his vision.

"Laurence!" Cadenza hugs her brother with tears.

When all of a sudden he fell to the floor passing out.

Later..

"Hyria.. What's going on?"

"Your friend here.. He's a Shadow Knight?" Hyria worriedly looked to the unconscious boy.

"The calling of the nether.. It started. It bothers him so much. He suffers through headache and sometimes not being himself. The Calling." She explains.

"If Laurence doesn't control himself for transforming. He might not come back for being himself. He'll be a... Monster.." Cadenza cries on Katelyn's shoulders.

"There.. There's a Cure for this right? L-laurence can't be a monster.. He's human! He would never be a Monster!" Aphmau shakingly explains. As tears fell through her cheeks.

"Tell Me. This isn't all happening. This is all just a dream right? RIGHT!?" Aphmau sobs.

Hyria looked down looking sorry for the girls. As Cadenza ran outside crying.

Cadenza's Third POV
Cadenza ran outside crying. As she headed to the plaza and broke down to her knees. Crying..

"Cadenza..? Are you alright?" Kent stood behind her.

She stayed silent.

"Tell me.. What's wrong." He sits beside the girl.

"Kent.. What's the point of living?" She looks to his eyes with tears.

"Well.. I don't know how to Answer that.. For me? I think to survive to every challenges. And smile."

"That doesn't even make any sense."

"Hey.. Stop crying okay? If you continue that there's nothing going to happen. Or you'll turn to a chicken again if you're afraid." Cadenza punches his shoulders.

"Look, give all the love you can give to your brother. That's my advice for you." Kent smiled to the girl in front of her.

Cadenza gave him a small grin.
