Chapter 18: To the Rescue

Aphmau screams Katelyn's name. As the Firefist falls to the ground in pain. She passes out. Aphmau tried to approach to her friend but someone holds her back. Ivy walks to the unconscious Katelyn. As she raised her sword. And tried to kill her but all of a sudden.

Travis's POV
I was hanging out with Lucinda. I helped her doing things such as potions. And cleaning. I don't have that much better to do. I live at the guardhouse where every other guy was.  Suddenly I heard screams. I quickly grabbed my sword as I rushed outside. I looked around as I climbed a tree. I saw a pink figure standing with a smirk on her face. As I looked closer. There was blood. Oh Irene. Please don't tell me someone was killed.

"KATELYN!!" I heard Aphmau cried. Wait, Katelyn?

... Don't tell me... No..

"KATELYN!! PLEASE WAKE UP!" She.. She was laying down.. G-ground.. Katelyn...

"Kate..? Wake up.. Please." I walked up to her broking down to my knees. I can feel my body being shaky.

"What's this? Katelyn the Firefist has a lover? How sweet.. But, pathetic." I sensed the sword's movement as I reacted and caught the sharp point holding the sword.

"YOU KILLED HER DIDN'T YOU!?" I transformed to my Demon form uncontrollably.

"What the?" She drops in shocked. She looked scared.

"TELL ME!"

"That's my cue lover boy. Catch a' fools later." She winks and disappeared. As I heard her laughing evilly. I gritted my teeth.

"KATELYN. WAKE UP." I carried her as I ran heading to Aphmau's house. Katelyn please...

"Zoey!!!" I  called as soon as I reached Aphmau's house. Putting Katelyn to the guestroom.

"Travis!? Wha.. What happened!?" She looked shocked as she walked up to us. Aphmau continued crying calling Katelyn's name.

"There no time to waste! Please Zoey, do everything you can." I said. Pushing my hair upwards. As I worriedly looked at Katelyn. This is FRICKING worrying me as hell. Don't tell me.. Irene.

A while later. Aphmau continued crying. As then Dante barged in to the room.

"Lady Aphmau? Is Katelyn alright!? Are you hurt!?" Dante looked panicked.

"I swear if I see that Pink haired fool again I'm gonna rip her eyes out of her head." Laurence fisted.

"Brutal." Dante added. As he rolled his eyes. Idiots.

Laurence elbowed Dante on his arm. As Dante cleared his throat when all of a sudden. A light appeared out of Aphmau's hand.

"A-aph??" I stuttered. As aph looked pale.

"I... I did it.. Again..." She looks pale drained. She healed Katelyn.

Then Zoey came back with some herbs.

"Hey I'm ba--- WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?" She drops the herbs to the floor as I caught Aphmau falling to the ground. Zoey's mouth dropped.

"I.. I'm alright!" Aphmau said as she balanced. But fell.

"Lady Aphmau! How many times do I tell you that you can't just go heal everyone! You know we've talked about your energy. You'll be pale DRAINED!" Zoey explained as Aphmau let out a nervous laugh.

"Aphmau let's guide you upstairs." Laurence said.

"I'm gonna get more herbs." Zoey groans.

"I'm on night patrol." Dante followed. Now I'm left alone with my Angel. :)

Her pale skin. Sky blue eyes. And hair. She's perfect. She looks like a Maiden. But I wish.. She would wake up sooner. Katelyn my love one and only.

Kent's POV
Its been weeks.. Everything just goes too fast. A blink of an eye everything happens. Zenix gone. Garroth missing. My sis cursed for slumber. I'm not sure if its a curse. Sigh.. I wish I could turn back time.

I walked through the woods.. Dragging my sword from the ground.. I don't know why I'm doing this... Mom... Dad... I... I wish you guys where here..

I lay onto the ground. My sword next to me closing my eyes.. As slowly the memories I had. They flooded back.. Dad's smile was priceless.. I miss him teasing me around girls.. Even my own sister.. He teases me. Mom.. I miss her cooking.. Hugs... Dad's dead.. Mom? Missing.. Or I don't know where she is..

"I miss you.."

"Who do you miss?"

I quickly rise. When I looked behind.. Cadenza was there behind the trees smiling.

"Sorry to startle you.. I was just curious of where you where going.. So.." She walks towards me and sits beside me.

"Tell me.. Who do you miss?" She looks at me as her eyes shone.

"My.. My family... E-everyone.." I looked down.

She pats my back.

"Hey.. You're going to get through this.. Kay? Its a challenge."

"Thanks for the cheer.."

Suddenly I heard someone breathing heavily.. Almost a growl? Its not a werewolf.. Or any monster.. Sounded more like.. A man trying to catch or I don't know.. My sight suddenly became sharp. Cadenza steps back a bit away from me. She saw it.

"Cadenza.. We need to-"

"K-Kent..?" I turned around. A shadow knight.. That looked familiar. His eyes.. They where red. He's all bruised.

"Zenix!?" I was shocked.

"Rescue.. Garroth.. Now... And.. RUN!" He panted. His voice.. it changed.

I carried Cadenza as I run. She seemed shocked when I did that. As we got to the village. Aphmau looked pale.

"Cadenza! Kent!" She approached us.

"Aph...! Garroth... Rescue! Zenix! Shadow!" I panted.

"Kent... Calm down!" Aphmau patted my shoulders. Cadenza looked scared.

"Aphmau, We saw Zenix out of the woods by himself but he looked terrified and don't know what to do. He just said to us that we need to rescue Garroth A. S. A. P." Aphmau looks everywhere and puts her hands to her head.

"We have lots of Problems. Cadenza, your.. Your brother.."

"Huh?"

"He kinda... Ran away.... And Hyria said he was corrupted." Cadenza look shakened and afraid.

World... Why are you so cruel..
