I continued to work on the painting while another song started to play.
You know that I care about you a lot that I get nervous even if I close my eyes for a couple seconds
When I look at you, feels like I'll run out of breath
While I was in the middle of repainting Yoonoh's shirt, I heard someone knocking on my door.
"Come in." I said without looking up. The door opened so I placed the paintbrush down and turned around.
"I'm about to go see the Dong family, do you want to come with me?" My mother asked. I looked at my clock and thought about it for a couple seconds.
"Yeah, sure, why not?" I asked then closed my paint palettes. I walked over to my laptop and turned off the music.
"Is dad going with us?" I asked then looked back at my mother. She nodded her head while smiling. I hummed in response then got my phone. I then walked over to my mother. "Let's go." I said while smiling. My heart, for some reason, started to beat faster.
"What is that sound?" My mother asked while getting into the car with my father. Everyone was quiet for a couple seconds.
"What are you talking about?" My father asked.
"It sounds like someone's heartbeat." My mother said then turned around to look at me. (Is that even possible?) "Is that your heartbeat?" My mother asked. I nodded my head slowly. "Are you that nervous?" She asked.
"I haven't seen him in years, I can't help it." I said while placing my hand over my heart. It took about an hour for my father to drive there.
Since we haven't been in China for a while, my father kinda got lost so we had to go back home, then tried our best to drive to Sicheng's house. We got there, somehow. Once we got there, my parents made me go ring the doorbell while they went to get something for the Dong family. I pressed the doorbell and looked down at my feet immediately. Why am I so nervous? I wonder how he looks like. Did he change while I was gone? Will he remember me? I don't blame him if he doesn't remember me, cause, to be honest, I forgot about him too. The door opened so I looked up immediately and smiled slightly.
"EunA, is that you? I haven't seen you in years." Mrs.Dong said while hugging me tightly. "Hey, honey, the Kims are here." She said while still hugging me. I saw Mr.Dong walking out of the kitchen and over to Mrs.Dong.
"Hi, EunA." He said while smiling. I smiled and bowed.
"It's nice seeing you guys again." I said. I then heard the door closing from my car.
"Why don't you come in, it's really windy." Mrs.Dong said while opening the door a little bit wider.
"Thank you." I said while walking into their house. I took off my shoe and walked into their living room. I didn't know what to do so I just stood there awkwardly.
"You can have a seat, EunA." Mr.Dong said while walking into the kitchen. I sat down and looked around their living room. Wow, nothing changed. "Would you like some tea or soda?" Mr.Dong asked.
"Tea would be fine, thank you." I said. Mr.Dong nodded his head while smiling. A couple seconds later, he came back out with a cup filled with warm tea.
"Here you go, EunA." He said while handing me the cup.
"Thank you." I said. I took a sip then placed the cup down on the coffee table in front of me.
I looked out of the front door and saw my parents talking to Mrs.Dong. What do I do? I feel so awkward here. Should I ask about Sicheng? I opened my mouth but nothing came out. I closed my mouth and started to scratch my head.
"Mr.Dong?" I asked.
"Yes?" He answered.
"Where's Sicheng?" I asked.
"Oh, he's in Korea." Mr.Dong said. Korea?
"What is he doing in Korea?" I asked.
"He's in Korea because he's training there. He's training in one of the top three music companies. I forgot which one he's in but he's training in one of them." Mr.Dong said then took a sip of his tea. I hummed in response.
"Would you like to go look around his room?" Mrs.Dong asked while walking into the living room with my parents following them from behind.
"Can I?" I asked.
"Of course, do you remember the way?" Mr.Dong asked.
"I think I do." I said while getting up.
"Third door on the right." Mrs.Dong said.
"Thank you." I said then made my way into the hallway. Once I found the third door, I opened it slightly and looked inside.
After a couple seconds, I opened the door completely. I stepped into his room while looking around. It's somewhat the same. He hanged up more pictures, he changed his bed, but the rest is still the same. He even got the stars that we stuck onto the ceiling when we were little. I walked over to his desk and saw a picture of us at the park.
I smiled then picked up the picture frame. I wonder how he looks like right now. I looked around his room but I couldn't find any recent pictures of him. I looked at his desk again and I saw something inside of a tiny jar. I got curious so I picked it up and studied it. (I don't know if this is even possible, let's just pretend that it is.) It was hard to tell but I could see hints of blue and green. I thought about it for a couple seconds. It kinda looks like a flower. I looked at the flower again. It kinda looks like the flower that I gave Sicheng, on my last day with him.
~ "When are you leaving?" He asked. "I'm leaving tomorrow." I said. "EunA!" My mother shouted. "Coming!" I shouted. I hugged Sicheng then handed him the blue flower. "I have to go. Don't forget me, okay?" I asked while hugging him tightly. Hr nodded his head slowly. I released him and waved goodbye. I ran over to my mother. I said goodbye to Sicheng's parents then went into my parent's car. While we were driving past the creek, I saw Sicheng sitting near the creek crying while holding onto the flower I gave him. I couldn't help but tear up at the sight of him crying alone. ~
He still has this, how cute. I set the jar back down on his desk and walked to the other side of his room. I sat down on his bed and looked around his room again. I hope you didn't change while I was gone, Sicheng.
