Coley's POV

"Almost there," Jake said as he opened the front door of our house. I slowly walked into the house with the help of the crutches that I got at the hospital with Lauren walking behind me, having her arms open in case I fell. She had become very protective of me in the past couple of days, and it was cute.

"Finally," I sighed, sitting down on the living room couch and leaning my crutches against it. Lauren let out a small laugh while Jake closed the front door. I quickly glanced at the brace on my ankle before groaning.

"Do you want to go to your room? I could help you up there before I go," He offered.

"No, it's okay. I'll be fine. Go have fun on your date," I teased, making Lauren laugh along with me.

"It isn't a date," He groaned, walking back to the front door.

"Sounds like one," Lauren said, sitting down next to me, "You couldn't shut up about it on the way here."

"Whatever, it isn't a date. We're just meeting up. I'll be back in a few hours, okay? Call me if you need me," He said with an annoyed tone, walking out of the house and closing the front door behind him. Lauren and I laughed before I rested my head on her shoulder, and soon I felt her head on top of mine. I felt her kiss my head softly before taking my hand in hers and intertwining our fingers, her touch making me smile and feel secure. Usually I was the one taking care of her and making her feel safe, but after everything that happened, she took on that role. I didn't mind that much.

"So, what do you wanna do?" She asked, rubbing the back of my hand with her thumb.

"I don't really care," I started, "As long as I'm with you, I'm fine with anything." I heard her laugh as I buried my face in her neck, leaving soft kisses with every breath she took.

"How about a movie?" She asked quietly. I nodded my head as I felt her shift her body so she could grab the remote to the TV, quickly switching it to Netflix and picking something to watch.

About halfway into the movie, I felt myself starting to get tired, and I let out a yawn. Lauren noticed and looked over to me and playfully nudged me with her arm. "Rude."

I smiled. "What?"

"This is one of my favorite movies, and you're yawning?"

"I've barely gotten any sleep the past few days, c'mon. The hospital isn't the most relaxing place," I said as she paused the movie.

"Doesn't matter. I stayed awake through every single Twilight movie you made me watch, and I had gotten no sleep the night before," She said, trying to act serious, but she failed as she let herself smile.

"Lauren..." I whined.

She let out a small giggle as she playfully slapped me on the arm. "Don't even try that. You know how easy it is to make me give into you when you do that," She said, sitting up.

"Do what?" I smirked. "I just wanna get some sleep."

"You know exactly what you did, don't even try to act dumb." She finally was able to stop smiling, and her face expression changed to show she was serious.

"C'mon, don't be grumpy." Her facial expression didn't change, so I did what I thought was the only option.

"Hey, stop!" She yelled, starting to laugh as I tickled her. She slapped my hands away as she started to tickle me, and as we kept laughing and messing around, we fell onto the floor.

"Great job," I laughed and started to blush as I noticed her position on top of me. "Now, do you mind getting off of me?"

She didn't say anything as she let out a small laugh and ran a hand through her hair. I noticed her expression change once again, but before I had a chance to try to tickle her again, she leaned down and pressed her lips onto mine. I wrapped my arms around her neck, pulling her closer to me, as she deepened the kiss. Our legs eventually entangled, with Lauren being careful with my ankle, as she brought her hands to my waist. She eventually found her way to my neck and started to leave small kisses, smirking as she made her way down to my collarbone.
