(A/N) Final chapter here we goooo
Coley's POV
"Yeah, I'll be ready by then. Love you too, bye."
I slowly opened my eyes and saw Lauren put her phone down on the nightstand next to her. She sighed deeply as she sat on the edge of my bed, covering her face with her hands. I sat up and wrapped my arms around her from behind while resting my head on her shoulder.
"When are you leaving?" I asked, not hearing any emotion in my voice.
"Tomorrow morning, but I have to go with my sisters to my parent's house today to start packing." Her voice was muffled by her hands, and my arms loosened up from around her waist. "I hate this."
"I hate it too," I whispered, trying not to cry. I needed to be the strong one today. She'd just feel worse if she saw me upset.
"Coley," she started, turning around to face me, "we have to talk."
"No, we don't," I shook my head, "There's nothing to talk about."
"I'm moving away."
"I know, but..." I took her hands in mine and started to play with her fingers, "It's just a bump in the road for us. We'll be okay."
"Coley-"
"Do you want some breakfast? What time are you going to your parent's house? I can probably cook something before you have to go," I said, getting out of bed and starting to walk towards the bedroom door.
I heard her sigh before responding, "I'm going over in a couple of hours. You don't have to cook anything."
"Well, let's go out then. No cooking, no cleaning, and it'll get us out of the house for a little while?" I suggested. I turned around only to see her force a smile on her face.
"Yeah, sure."
------------------------------------
"Coley? Are you okay?" I looked up from the table at the diner booth Lauren and I were sitting at and looked at her, noticing the concern that spread across her face. "Is this place fine with you? We can go somewhere else-"
"What can I get for you two?" The waitress asked us as she walked over. She stared at me in confusion for a few seconds before she smiled and said, "Oh, hey! Weren't you here like, last week? I remember you!"
I gave her a small smile and nodded my head. "Yeah, I was."
"You and those two men! Yep, I remember exactly now. One of them was extremely loud-"
"Can I just get a coffee, please?" I asked, cutting her off before she could go on any further. "Lauren?"
"Uh, I'll have one too. Thank you," she smiled at the waitress before the waitress walked away. "What was that all about?"
"Nothing," I looked back down at the menu, "The food looks great, doesn't it?"
"Coley," she said, putting her hand over mine, "What's going on?"
I sighed, "I was here last week with Jake when we met up with our dad. It's fine."
"It's obviously not fine," she frowned. "We can go somewhere else. I don't mind."
"Lauren, it's okay. We're already here. I'm fine."
She let out a sigh as the waitress came back with our coffee. "What did she mean when she said one of them was loud? Did she mean your dad?"
