"It's been a long time." he breathed out a laugh.

"What do you want Ashton?" Michael replied.

"I heard there's a girl in town... Violet is it?" He laughed, "I know you can hear me Violet, it's very rude to try and hide from me."

"Hello." I said through gritted teeth.

"Feisty, brown hair, blue eyes, correct me if i'm wrong." he announced, knowing he was right.

"How do you know all this?" I hissed.

Michael shook his head at me, giving me a signal to shut up.

"You haven't told her i'm an original? Michael, i'm disappointed." I could tell he was smirking through the phone.

"And where is Calum at this point in time, why don't you invite all the boys up to say hello?"

Michael tightened his jaw, calling out for Luke.

"Calum is out at the moment." His fists clenching and unclenching.

"What a shame, oh well, might as well pass on a message right?" His tone joyful, "I will find all of you, and when I do I will make sure that you live the rest of your life unhappy and alone." His tone had changed to as harsh as a stone cold rock.

The call ended as Ashton hung up.
Michael immediately started dialling another number.

"Calum, get your ass back to the house, its Ashton."

Within the time span of 5 minutes he was back, his face showing no emotion, apparently still mad. I avoided eye contact, listening to their conversation.

"Ashton wants Violet and to make our lives a living-dead hell." Luke attempted to lighten the bad news by introducing a lame joke of 'living-dead.'

"Well let him take Violet, I couldn't care less, let's get to the life threatening part–"

A devilish slap was delivered to his face by Michael.

"You say sorry right now. You do not treat a girl like that and especially not the so called, and I quote, 'love of your life.'"

"And if I don't apologise?" his eyes piercing through Michael.

"Then you get the hell out of this house and you don't come back until you've learnt how to respect a lady."

Calum thought about it for a moment, debating whether or not to embarrass himself by apologising.

"I'm sorry." he sighed.

He probably didn't mean it so I failed to acknowledge it and kept my gaze on the floor.

"Well, we obviously need to go find Ashton and win this battle before he does, Michael, you stay home with Violet." Calum fake smiled, dragging Luke out the door before Michael could argue.

I closed my eyes, sitting down on the bed in silence, Michael joining me shortly after. I overhead conversations downstairs and the familiar ringing of a phone.

"Ashton." Calum's voice answered the call.

"Meet me at the penthouse, you know which one, maybe we can strike a deal that keeps everyone safe, sound alright Calum?"
