Before Chapter 1 (part 2)

Makoto woke up the next morning.It was 2:46 am.Makoto darted out of the house and into the convienece shop at the end of the road.Makoto snuck in and stole all kinds of food.Makoto felt bad but he and Sousuke needed to live.Makoto had slept on the sofa bed and Sousuke in the bed again.

Sousuke awoke early and was about to go to sleep again when he saw Makoto was missing.Sousuke was worried Makoto had been taken away by someone.Sousuke decided to wait an hour.A long,painful half an hour went by.Makoto jogged back to the room.Makoto saw Sousuke awake.Sousuke stood up and grabbed Makoto's shoulders."Where were you?I've been seriously worried.You should've told me were you went.I thought you were kidnapped.Where did you go?"Sousuke asked frantically.Makoto dropped the bag of food that instantly caught Sousuke's attention."Did.....did you...steal that?"Sousuke asked slowly his eye twitching.Makoto nodded and whispered "My family kicked me out.......I found a place here though......I want to know if they're safe......I don't have money.....I steal"Makoto whispered the tears building up.Sousuke patted Makoto's head."Just be careful mmmk?"Sousuke said.Makoto wiped his eyes and looked up at Sousuke smiling his signature smile."Get some sleep you idiot"Sousuke huffed chuckling as he pushed Makoto's head away."Gonna put the good away papasou"Makoto laughed and ran to the kitchen.Sousuke blushed and scowled as Makoto scurried away laughing.

It was 4:50 am

Sousuke was up doing press ups and sit ups.Makoto woke up and saw Sousuke's sweaty figure and tense muscles.Makoto stood up and mumbled "morning" and walked to the bathroom to get tissue for his nose that had started to bleed.Sousuke was irritated by the way Makoto was acting.Makoto came back in the room with a bloody tissue over his nose.Sousuke immediately stood up."Makoto are you okay?!!!Do you feel ill at all"Sousuke asked seriously.Sousuke lifted Makoto's bangs away from Makoto and felt his temperature.Makoto blushed and his nosebleed began to become worse.Sousuke moved the tissue away.Sousuke looked at Makoto's innocent,wide-eyed,flushed face with tears in his eyes.Sousuke was confused."I'm fine don't worry"Makoto laughed off nervously.Sousuke frowned."I'll go get you some water"Sousuke said.Although this was his 'home' now,he still felt like he should creep about.

Sousuke walked into the room to see Makoto passed out on the floor his blood dripping from his nose.Sousuke put the glass down and shook Makoto until he groaned.Makoto's eyes fluttered open."Huh....Sousuke?What's wrong"Makoto slurred drowsily.Sousuke let out a shaky, strong breath."You really scared me"Sousuke said.Makoto smiled."Sorry sorry"He laughed.

Fake smiles.Sousuke was used to them.He could see right through Makoto.

When Makoto was feeling alright again Sousuke was about to start a conversation.That thought didn't last long as Makoto screamed.Sousuke slapped his hand over Makoto's mouth.Sousuke found a gun and loaded it with one hand.Sousuke walked out but didn't see anything.He opened the closet to reveal Makoto."What is it?"Sousuke whisper yelled."I saw a spider and it was really big"Makoto shivered.Sousuke sighed."I thought something was wrong"he sighed."Something was wrong"Makoto whined softly.Sousuke sighed."Don't hurt it though"Makoto shivered pulling on his sleeve.Sousuke nodded."Yes yes"Sousuke sighed bluntly.Makoto stepped out of the cupboard after the spider was chucked out of the window.

After a few hours of relaxing Sousuke started up a conversation."Makoto?"Sousuke called."mmm?"Makoto questioned cocking his head to see Sousuke."Did Nanase ever.....kiss you?"Sousuke asked curiously.Makoto blushed."No,Haru had always been focused on Rin.I've never been out with or kissed anyone"Makoto blushed."I haven't either.Or crushed on anyone"Sousuke said,lying through his teeth on the last sentence.Makoto laughed softly.A bang sounded and fire rose from the trees but quickly died off."Sousuke,tomorrow I'm leaving this place.You can stay or come with me.But,I found a good place and it's been abandoned.It's in good condition."Makoto smiled.Sousuke looked surprised."Is it further away from the fighting?"Sousuke asked.Makoto nodded."I'll come with you then"Was all that was answered.

After all that was needed was packed up,Sousuke and Makoto ran to the designated location.The boys got close to being in the war zone while getting lost but soon found their way there.The house was a huge mansion and was untouched since being evacuated from.Makoto stepped in and smiled.Sousuke saw Makoto's angelic features in the slight light.Makoto blew air out happily as he ran up the stairs as Sousuke followed suit.

Makoto jumped onto the clean covers and feathers flew from the pillows.Makoto smiled softly as the feathers fell around him.Sousuke layed down next to Makoto.Makoto's hair hung lazily over his face.Looking at Sousuke, Makoto smiled.Sousuke looked at Makoto,his short fringe slightly hanging the way he was facing.Sousuke smiled.Not his forced smile, sad smile or challenging smile.A nice,gentle smile.A smile that made the heavens sing and Makoto's heart pang.Makoto blushed.Sousuke sighed but continued to smile.

Sousuke began making curry from what he could find left in the kitchen.Makoto sat on the sofa reading a book.Sousuke looked at it earlier.It was called 'Love or Death?'.Sousuke didn't bother.Sousuke knew that stories with that title would always and with a cheesy,happy ending."Maybe Makoto and I could have a happy ending?"Sousuke thought.Sousuke then moved irritably because he realised what he thought.Sousuke peered at Makoto through the gap in the door.Blushing,cute.Sousuke kept thinking about Makoto.His green eyes,Brown hair and tanned skin.Beautiful.Exquisite.Sousuke thought and before he realised it he nearly burnt the dinner.

After dinner Makoto sat outside.Sousuke walked up behind him.Makoto was singing softly.Sousuke waited for him to finish.His voice was beautiful,quiet,calming.Sousuke grabbed Makoto's arm and dragged him up."Sousuke?"Makoto questioned.They ran over to the green tree in the back garden.A gust of wind blew leaves around the two.Makoto looked up to Sousuke who was latched onto Makoto's shirt.The leaves flew around them.Their shirts blew in the wind.Their hair blew around.So as the wind died down Sousuke cupped his hands over Makoto's cheeks.Makoto blsuhed as Sousuke leaned down and gave Makoto his first kiss.A tender,sweet one.Sousuke pulled away.

"I love you Makoto"

"Sousuke I......."
