Chapter 2: Truth or Dare?

So Im going to continue writing this, if you like it tell me, if you dont still tell me, I love feedback.

I will....and sorry if this chapter is long, I kind of didn't run out of idea so I kept writing.

As I walk home from school I cant help but thinking about Tea said. It isn't true, Yami isn't hers is he? I know he isn't mine but...I wish he was and if he becomes someone else's I don't know how I could cope.

I walk into the game shop, "Im home!" I call out to my grandfather.

"Welcome home, how was school?" He asks as he comes out of the back of the shop. He wears his usual overalls and yellow, long sleeved shirt.

"School was...school was fine," I lie pulling a tight smile. I would never tell how my day was terrible, it would worry him and he hasn't been feeling that well lately, its worrying me.

"Where is Yami?" He asks when he notices Im alone.

"He is.....at Joey's house."

"I thought you two were inseparable, and isn't Joey your friend too? Why aren't you with him?"

"Its nothing Grampa, really," I say trying to pull a more convincing smile.

"Alright...." he says, then gasps out for air.

"Grandpa! Are you alright?!" I yell as I run to his side.

"Yes, yes Im fine," he wheezes, "Just go up to your room and study ok?"

I look at him worriedly but nod my head. I walk in to our living room and pause only to see the backpack I left on the counter. Poor Yami, paying for my mistake....

I shake my head and walk up to my room. It looks the same as I left it, completely neat except the unmade bed. I make it so there isn't anything to do later.

I sit at my desk, right next to Yami's. I take out my duel monsters cards, looking over the dark magician, then the dark magician girl and finally the god cards. "Yami," I whisper to myself, " we used to be so close, we even saved the world together once but now..."

I feel myself hurt inside, I feel the hollowness of where Yami used to stay. I lay my head on the desk trying to keep the tears from falling down my cheeks.

The next thing I know Im in my bed. I must have fallen asleep...I sit up and rub my eyes yawning.

"Yugi, did I wake you?" Yami asks. I open my eyes and see him sitting on the end of my bed looking at me. His school jacket was off and strewn across his bed so I could see his lean muscles.

"No," I say pushing a stray hair out of my face, "how long have you been home?"

"Only a few minutes, you were asleep at your desk when I got here so I moved you to the bed," he said chuckling.

I blush lightly and look down at my hands, playing with the sleeves of my school jacket, "Was the teacher hard on you?"

"No...but she did try hitting on me which I thought was funny."

I look into his eyes, "Im sorry for causing you to get in trouble."

"Its fine," he smiles at me, "Yugi, if its ok with you I was thinking we could invite your friends over to hang out. I thought it might be something you would like to do, you have seemed sad lately."

I grin, he thought about me! "That sounds like fun, lets call them over! We can call Joey, Tristan, Duke, Bakura, Mai, and..." I sigh inwardly but keep the smile on my face, "and Tea."

He pulls a phone out of his pocket, "I'll call everyone while you get ready ok?"

"Get ready?"

"You slept in those clothes didn't you?"

"Oh, yeah..." I get out of the bed and walk over to the closet pulling out a black t-shirt and leather pants. I turn back around and see Yami is still here, sitting on my bed dialing someone's number. I feel trapped, I cant change in front of him! But I cant exactly ask him to leave either.... I blush and turn back around facing the wall, why am I feeling so self conscious? We shared my body once after all....

I take off my jacket and then my shirt, quickly pulling the new shirt over my head. Now for the part Im dreading. I unbutton my pants and pull down my pants, stepping out of them and pull the new pair on. Not so bad, I doubt he was even looking. I silently laugh at myself for being so silly.

I pull up the zipper and...no! The zipper is stuck! I struggle to pull it up, not wanting to have to undress again.

"Yugi, is everything ok?" Yami asks, I can hear him get up off the bed an walk this direction.

I blush furiously, "Y-yeah, the zipper is stuck, thats all."

"Oh.....do you need help?" he asks awkwardly.

"N-no!" I squeak, my face must be as red as a firetruck. I try even harder to pull it up.

"Well, uh, I called them all, everyone but Mai can make it," he says," Are you sure you don't need help?"

I want to shake my head and tell him that I don't but my voice wont work. I drop my arms to my sides and look down biting my lip.

He kneels in front of me and takes hold of the zipper and the top of my pants. He yanks the zipper up in one quick movement and this time it does go up.

"There," he says, letting go of my pants and standing up, "you know its alright to ask for help sometimes Yugi."

I nod but keep looking down, extremely embarrassed.

Yami sets a hand on my shoulder, "You can finish getting ready here, I will go downstairs and wait for our guests." He drops his hand from my shoulder and walks out.

As soon as I hear his footsteps fade I throw myself on my bed and burry my face in my pillow. How could I have asked him to do that?! It was so embarrassing! Now he probably thinks Im even more helpless than before! I'm so stupid!

I sigh and push myself off the bed, I should at least go downstairs so he doesn't think I'm having trouble tying my shoes or something.

I brush my hair so its not so messy and walk downstairs.

Everyone is already here sitting on the couch or the floor chatting happily, and of corse Tea is latched onto Yami's arm.

"HEY BUDDIE!" Joey calls to me.

"Hi guys," I say smiling, "what are you guys up to?"

"Just planing what to do," Duke says rolling a dice between his fingers.

"We were thinkin' Truth or dare, what da ya think?" Joey asks.

"It sounds fun," I say sitting on the arm of the couch.

"Alright," Tristan says, rubbing his hands together, "I'll go first! Tea Truth or Dare?"

"Umm...truth," she says squeezing Yami's arm tighter. I wish I was in her place...

Tristan grins evilly, "Are you a virgin and if your not who did you loose it too?"

The room falls silent for a moment and they Joey, Tristan, and Duke all burst out laughing. Bakura and I glance at each other, we silently share a thought 'man these guys are crazy but thats why we love them'.

"Im not a virgin," Tea says, 'big shocker there right?' "And I wont tell who it was, its one truth per turn."

"I knew it!" Joey calls out, "Pay up!"

Tristan groans and takes out his wallet, handing over five dollars. He really bet that she was a virgin? He must be really dense.

"Joey, truth or dare?" Tea asks obviously angry at him.

"Umm, I choose truth," he says, playing it safe.

"Who do you like?" She asks smirking at him.

"Well, I..." He looks down, "I like Kaiba, ok? Is that what ya wanted?! Its not my fault I feel the way I do!"

Tea bursts out laughing as if its hilarious while the rest of us stare at her.

"Jou, its alright to like Kaiba, there isn't anything wrong with it," I say smiling at him.

"Thanks pal," he says, "now its my turn, truth or dare Yug?"

Fearing his dares I decide truth is the best option, "I guess I choose truth."

"Im gonna ask you the same question Tea asked me, who do ya like? You haven't told me so Im curious."

I freeze, I cant say it! Yami is sitting right next to me, our arms are almost touching! My face grows hot and I shift uncomfortably. I can feel Tea's eyes boring into my back, trying to will me not to tell.

"I, uh, I," I mumble.

"C'mon Yug, who is it? We wont tell."

My hands start to shake and I blush darker. I cant do this, changing clothes with him in the room and even having him help me with the zipper wasn't like this. I stand up and run out of the room, up to my bedroom. I can hear the commotion my leaving caused all the way through the door.

Someone knocks softly on my door,"Yugi, its me, Yami, can I come in?"

Yami is the last person I want to see right now but he is also the only person I want to see.

"Sure," I say in a shaky voice.

Yami opens the door and walks in, "Are you alright? What happened back there?"

"Yami, I have a question for you," I whisper.

"What is it?"

I turn and face him, "Do you like Tea?"

"What? Tea? No, she is crazy, I wouldn't even put up with her if she wasn't your friend."

"Really?"

"Yes, now why did you run up here?"

"Yami..." I whisper, its either now or never..."I ran up here because I-I love you."

"You do?" he whispers walking up to me, close enough to kiss....

"Yes, I love you."

"I love you too," he whispers pulling me into him. He feels warm, so comforting, like a rock keeping me from being torn away by winds. I never knew he liked me, never even thought he could, it was a luxury I only had in sleep.

"Yami!" Tea screeches from the doorway, "How dare you! I cant believe this! Im going to make you pay for this Yugi, I told you to stay away from him!"

Yami looks at me confused, "What is she talking about?"

"Today after school when you left us in the hall she pushed me down and threatened me," I whisper looking down.

"She did WHAT?!" he says, his arms tightening around me protectively.

"I will get my revenge and you will be mine Yami!" she yells storming out of the house and slamming the door behind her.
