"Ugh..." I groan. I was having the perfect dream. Yami had finally confessed his feelings for me. Right in front of Tea, the chick who has been after him all year as if she was the only person in the whole school who could get him.

"Yugi it's time for school, come on we have a test in home room," the deep voice that fills my every thought says. I have that one advantage over Tea though, Yami lives with me and shares my room, and if it were up to Tea he would be in her room....

"Come on Yugi, you aren't sick are you?" He asks sitting on my bed and resting a cool hand on my forehead. It's times like this when I can imagine he actually cares for me.

"No Im not sick, just remembering my dream," I say opening my eyes and smiling up at him.

"Oh," is all he says as he stands up and walks out of our room. There he goes again, pulling away from me.

I get dressed in the normal school uniform and look at myself in the mirror. I can't help but think about how much hotter Yami looks in his uniform than I do. Lastly I grab the millennium puzzle off my bed post and slide it on. It doesn't mean the same thing as it used to when Yami inhabited it, now I wear it to remember how close we were.

I run out of my room downstairs to the kitchen, Yami already made us toast. I smile at him and grab to slice of toast as I lean on the counter and watch Yami eat his slice.

"YAMI!!!!" That annoying voice screeches, in pops that annoying witch.

Yami looks up at her, I thought I saw a flash of annoyance flash in his eyes but no that can't be right, he smiles at her.

"Good morning Tea, it's a lovely day isn't it?" He says. She walks right up to him so that they are almost touching and takes a deep breath. I glare at her and set down my toast.

"It's so lovely, it would be even better if I could walk to school with you!" She leans in closer and latches on to his arm like a leech.

"Sorry, I can't. I'm walking Yugi to school," he seems to grimace when she touches him but it must be my hopes affecting my eyes.

"HE," she says with venom, "can walk with us if he wants!"

I frown and look at Yami pleading him to turn her away.

"Alright then...." Yami says.

"We are going to be late if we don't go now!" I say as I check the clock on the wall. I grab Yami's hand and pull him along behind me out the door into the cool crisp morning air.

"SLOW DOWN!!" Tea wails from behind Yami but I just speed up knowing it will tick her off. Yami laughs happily and grins at me.

"So close," I whisper to myself and suddenly blush, realizing that Im holding hands with Yami!

"Yeah the school is right around the corner, we made good time," Yami says, not realizing what I truly meant.

"CAN WE WALK THEN?!!" Tea screeches. Yami slows down to a walk breaking my stride so I end up stumbling backwards into him.

"Are you ok Yugi?" He asks as he catches me. His beautiful purple eyes sparkle with concern.

"Y-yes!" I stutter blushing a deep red. I jump out of his arms and brush myself off but feel Tea's icy glare boring into my back.

We round the corner onto campus right as the bell rings.

"Great, while Yugi took the time to fall he made us late! UGHH!!" Tea wails and storms off.

"Such a priss," I mumble under my breath.

"Yugi! That isn't nice!" Yami says grinning, "We have to get to class though, we need all the time we can get on that math test."

"Mhm," I nod getting lost in his eyes and not really listening. He takes off to the school snapping me out of my trance and leaving me to catch up.

Inside the school it's very humid and I immediately loose track of Yami. I guess he's in or still heading to class.

I walk down the empty halls and push the door open to math class. It makes an embarrassingly loud screech, kind of like Tea's voice. The teacher glares at me from behind her desk as I slink over to my seat next to Yami.

"Yugi, Yami, since your both late I assume you have your homework done at least." The teacher says curtly. I reach for my backpack only to realize I had left it at home. My eyes widen because I know how much this teacher HATES me.

"Yugi, do you not have yours?" Yami whispers opening his backpack and pulling out his homework.

I shake my head and gulp down the tears that want to spill from my eyes. This teacher hates me so much that I know I'll get sent to the principles office as soon as I say I don't have it. Yami smiles softly and hands me his homework while the teacher isn't looking.

"Yami!" I hiss quietly, "this is yours take it back!"

Yami shakes his head and stands up, "Professor, I seem to have forgotten my homework at home, I apologize."

She looks him over hungrily like a wolf, "Ah, I see. What shall we do with you? Hmmm...." She taps her ruler on her desk, "come to my class after school."

Yami nods and bows respectfully before sitting back down.

"Yugi where is your homework?" She snaps.

I glance at Yami who nods at me. I feel so guilty, it was his homework but she will go easier on him than she would me.... "Here it is," I whisper and stand up holding the paper out. She walks over and rips it out of my hand.

"Now you two start your tests," she says as she walks away, the shoes of her heals clicking against the floor.

"Alright, class is over, go home," the teacher says as he wipes the sweat off his brow.

"Yami you shouldn't have given me yo-" I start as we walk into the hallway.

"It's alright Yugi, it's done isn't it? Besides she doesn't really like you and I didn't want you to get in trouble."

"YAMIIII!!!" Tea screams again as she runs towards us down the hall. "I heard all about it! I can't believe she's making you stay after school!"

"As I was saying its fine. I've got to get to the classroom though, the sooner I get there the sooner I can get away," Yami says. "I'll see you guys later!" He calls over his shoulder as he heads to the math class.

Alone in a hallway with Tea. Alone in the hallway with a she-devil. Means the same thing to me.

Tea quickly turns to me glaring, "You like him don't you? DON'T YOU?!" She hisses at me as she pushes me to the floor.

"W-what are you talking about?" I stutter taken by surprise.

"YOU KNOW WHAT YOU...YOU SKANK!" She yells, "HE IS MINE! ALL MINE SO YOU HAD BETTER BACK OFF!!"

I gulp and stare up at her with wide eyes.

"So," she blows the hair out of her eyes and walks off, "You aren't going to tell Yami about this or I will kill you."

Kill me? I just can't wait till Yami gets out of here and we can relax by a warm fire at home, then maybe he will decide he likes me back.....
