I collapse against the far wall and curl into a ball, trying desperately to get my breathing back to normal.
"Dan?" Phil's concerned voice cuts through my hazy mind and I realised he's outside the door, which I'm grateful I locked. After I give no response, he opens it.
Shit.
There's a moment of silence as he takes in the situation and in that moment I honestly wish I could disappear. I curl up tighter, hoping he'll just leave.
However, instead, he simply closes the door, walks over to me and sits down beside me. I curl up tighter -practically crushing Poof at this point- but Phil just puts his arm around me and pulls me closer.
"It's okay, Dan." he murmured gently. "You're alright, you're safe." He continues whispering calming things to me as he hugs me close.
Honestly, I'd never felt so safe.
I calm down in a couple of minutes, which is the fastest I'd ever gotten over a panic attack, and slowly uncurl myself.
"I'm sorry," I whisper hoarsely. I can't bring myself to look at him.
"Hey, it's okay," he replies, his tone soothing as he gently nudges my chin to make me look at him. He offers me a smile when I do. "I didn't realise you didn't like scary movies."
"I-it's not usually that bad..." I reply.
"Are you alright now?" he asked. I nod in reply and he stands up. I already miss the warmth. He offers me a hand and I take it, shakily pulling myself to my feet. Poof falls from my lap as I do and before I can move Phil swoops down and picks him up for me.
"He's cute," he says smiling and dusting him off before offering him to me. I hesitantly take him and place him back in my bag. "Do you always have him?"
"Yeah... he helps," I replied.
Where's he going with this? Does he not think it's weird?
"That's good," he says, still smiling.
Damn it this boy is a ray of fucking sunshine.
He pulls me over to the sink and offers me a washcloth, as my face is a mess at this point. I thank him and clean off myself as best I could whilst avoiding the mirror.
"Are you ready to go back downstairs?" Phil asks and I freeze.
Fuck. The others.
Phil must have noticed my instant terror as he quickly moved to sooth me.
"They won't make fun of you, I promise."
"Really?" I asked, pretty cynical of that fact.
"Yup," he replied. "To be honest Troye hates them too, Tyler only plays them because he knows he'll get cuddles." I can't help but laugh at this and hesitantly follow him back to the lounge.
"Are you okay?" Zoe asks as soon as we walk back in. I nod.
"Let's just watch some anime," Phil says, sitting back down on his mattress. I notice that Troye looks relieved at this.

Hours later I'm lying awake staring at the now dark room. I haven't been able to sleep, things from the movie coming back to slap me in the face, and it's beginning to frustrate me. I huff and roll over, trying desperately to will my mind to sleep.
"Dan?" I hear a groggy whisper from Phil. "Are you okay?" I think about lying but for some reason, here, in the dark, I tell the truth.
"No," I hear a small humpf and for a second I'm worried I've annoyed him when I'm suddenly being dragged over into him.
"You're safe, I promise," he mumbles, practically asleep again.
"Thanks," I whisper, carefully cuddling into him.
A/N Hello! I'm not dead! I'm so sorry for not updating in so long, things have been absolutly mental latley. I currently have exams but hopefully I'll be able to get back into a regular rythm after they're finished.
