Flat line. He was dead. Kane held Leo's limp, cold lifeless hand and grasped it tight. He never thought he would loose his...
"This can't be happening..." he muttered, tearing up. Once that first tear broke free, the rest followed in an unbroken stream. Kane bent forward where he sat on the chair next to the old hospital bed, and placed his palms on Leo's chest. He began to cry with such force and despair that it made him sick.
The doctors in the room with him seemed to disappear while this was going on, and Kane felt a twinge of pain in his temples. Because of this, he lifted his tired body from the grey folding chair, and walked out. The doctors, nurses, all people in the room were saying how sorry they were, how they felt bad about what happened, but all Kane heard was "Leo's gone." "He's gone forever" "There was nothing we could do about it..."
Kane felt empty inside. The crushing weight of his melancholy was suffocating. Numbness spread all throughout his legs as he walked, but...Kane kept walking.
For he lost more than a friend. More than a feeling inside...
Kane Lost his boyfriend.
and now he felt hollow
