Chapter 10

Fab 5 was getting ready for the concert that was to be held in the corridoor a few hours from then. Navya enters their green room with Nandini beside her.

Cabeer - oyi choti tu yaha??

Nandini - haa voh aap sab ka first performance hai n, mujhe bhi dekhna tha toh mein aa gayi.

Manik - aur job ka kya?? Voh kon dekhega??

Nandini - Maniii pleaaasee na. Ek din ki toh baat hai. Mein roz roz thodi chhutti karti hu. Please??

Manik - theek hai, ruk ja yaha pe.

Navya - (to nandini) yeh tumhe humesha aise hi daant'ta hai??

Nandini - (teasing) nahi toh. Sirf jab me iski baat nahi maanti n tab. Jo kareeb kareeb roz hi hota hai

All of them laughed and Manik gave her a 'oh really' look.

Navya - i hope tum sab ready ho. Performance 1 hour me shuru hone waala hai.

Fab 5 - yes.

Navya - okay. Toh tum sab ready jo jao. Mein zara baaki kaam dekh ke aati hu. All the best.

She left and then Nandini helped them getting ready and cheered them up for the performance when they were nervous.

Nandini -(freakout) do your best. Vaha nervous mat hona... apna best dena, event complete karna, deal paana, aur for celebration karne.....nukkad par chalenge. Vadapav khaane. Hm??

Fab 5 - ji maa. Samajh gaye.

Manik - tu kyu nervous ho rahi hai. Hum sab kar lenge. Tension mat le.

Nandini - haa voh toh tum kar loge... par nervous mat hona vaha.

And here it goes again. She advices them to not be nervous when she herself was a nervous wreck.

Manik - Nandu, tu khud nervous ho kar hume bhi dara rahi hai.

Nandini - sorry... par tum sab achhe se karna...

Everyone chukled and hugged her tightly.

Fab 5 - take a chill pill Nandu....

Nandini smiled and calmed down. Fab 5 were called at the stage. They broke the hug.

Manik - its time...

Cabeer - kya baap faad dene ka, kya?? Ekdam raapchik performance denge apan log.

Mukti - All the best.

Aliya - all the best.

Dhruv - aakhir kaar hum yaha aa hi gaye. All the best.

Nandini - all the best.

They moved to stage, head held high and smile all over the face. They wore a white shirt and blue denim jeans. The shirt tucked in properly. A new hairstyle that screems cool and an all over make over suited them.
The stage was small and round with stairs and it was marbled white shinning in the dark. It was too close to the crowd abd they neednt had to look up to have a look at their faces. Fab 5 were on the level of their eye.

The crod hooted but very little for them.
