"Come on. Tell me and I'll buy you ice cream."  Ross begged as his daughter shook her little head. "It's a surprise, Daddy. You'll have to wait until Christmas." She smiles widely before skipping upstairs. "Y/N," Ross calls out sweetly as you walk into the living room. "No Ross I'm not going to tell you so give up." You say walking back into the kitchen.
It was December 5th, and Ross was dying to know what his 5 year old, Mira, had helped you pick out for his Christmas present. He had been trying to pry the answer from her for over a week but nothing worked. He sighed knowing he would have to wait just a few more weeks.
He sulks upstairs and as he passes his sons bedroom he gets an idea. "Hey Justice, you went shopping with mom and Mira right?" Ross questions as Justice nods. "So you know what they got me right?" Justice nods. "Lets make a deal if you tell me then I'll take you to Go Kart World tomorrow." Ross smirks knowing that his 8 year old son could never turn down his offer.
"Dad that's not fair! You know I'm not supposed to tell you." Justice pouts. "Mom will never know." Ross smiles holding out his pinky. Justice takes a breath before linking his pinky with his dads.
He leans to Ross' ear but then quickly pulls away. "You promise?" He asks quietly as Ross nods. "Cross my heart."
"Okay." Justice mumbles as he leans close to his dad and whispers into his ear.
"Really!" Ross questions looking into his sons eyes to check to see if he's lying. "Uh huh." Justice smiles proudly.
"Okay I'll wake you up at 10 so we can go to Go Kart World. Night bud." Ross smiles closing the door as he walks out.
Justice waits until he hears his parents door closing before jumping out of bed and bounding down the stairs.
"Woah someone's a bit excited. So did dad take the bait?" you ask your son as he nods proudly. "Good." You smile high fiving your son before sending him off to bed.
