"It's a beautiful day!" Emily exclaimed. "We should spend it outside!" The Rangers had been given a day off, and they were pondering what they should do with it. "We could spend the day in town." Kevin suggested. "Just kind of walk around and do whatever." "I like that idea." Jayden agreed. With that, the Rangers got dressed for the chilly day outside.
They started off going shopping upon Emily and Mia's request. The two girls spent hours trying on different outfits and asking the boys what they thought. After finally deciding on a few outfits they walked around a little trying to find somewhere to eat. The crisp fall air really added to the October mood, everyone was getting ready for Halloween. The teens finally stopped a half hour later at a little cafe called Mary's. As they stepped inside the instant warmth and homey decor made them feel welcome right away. They were seated at a table and ordered their food. "I'll have the pot roast and vegetables, side of mashed potatoes please." Kevin ordered. "I'll take the slow-cooker soup." Jayden said. Mike ordered chili, Mia roast chicken with caramelized onions, Antonio beef stew, and Emily ravioli. After lunch, they walked through the park, leaves crunching under their shoes. After enjoying some hot chocolate and going to a bookstore, they headed back home. "We should do that again." Mia said, rummaging through one of her bags. "We can't take days off like this all the time though." Kevin added. "Lighten up Kev." Mike said. "We had a great day didn't we?" Kevin smiled. "Yeah," he replied. "We did."
