It had been a couple of days and Jayden was now at age 14, possibly the worst age.
"Shut up!" Jayden yelled at Mike. Mike was teasing Jayden because this was the age where Jayden's voice cracked, and it cracked a lot. "C'mon man, it's adorable." Mike said ruffling Jayden's hair. Jayden was 5'4, and he was getting made fun of for that too. "I'm not adorable." Jayden spat at Mike. "I'm a warrior." "But you're an adorable warrior." Mike teased. "You look like a baby. No facial hair, no muscle," Mike lifted up Jayden's shirt. "Dude, you're like a twig!" "Leave him alone Mike." Mia said, coming into the room with Emily. "Yeah, don't tease him." Emily agreed. "You were just like Jayden when you were fourteen." "No, I got bullied when I was a teenager. I worked out." Mike replied. "I didn't know you got bullied as a kid." Jayden said. Mike let out a weak laugh. "I beat them up after a day or two. It doesn't matter anymore." He said. Emily hugged Mike. "Besides, I'm not making fun of him. Jayden's so adorable." Mike said. He ruffled Jayden's hair again, but this time Jayden got mad and went into his room.
It was a few hours later when Mike went to get Jayden for lunch. He was curled up in a ball on his bed with all the lights off. "Go away." Jayden said as soon as he heard the door open. "Dude, c'mon. It's time for lunch." Mike said. "Not hungry." Jayden mumbled. "Dude." Mike replied. "I'm sorry for making fun of you." He turned the light on. Jayden groaned as the dark room filled with light. Mike walked over to Jayden and touched his shoulder. He found it surprisingly warm. "That's not normal." He thought. "Mentor!" Mike called. Ji ran into the room. "He's not okay." Mike said, motioning to Jayden. "Jayden?" Mentor whispered. "Jayden." Jayden slowly turned over - it hurt to move. Mentor was shocked at how abnormally pale Jayden was. He was sweating, yet he was shivering. Jayden also had his hands wrapped around his stomach. "Mike," Ji started. "Go with Emily and Kevin to get medicine. I think Jayden has the flu."
Fifteen minutes after three of the Rangers left to the store, Ji had the lights off, a cold washcloth draped over Jayden's eyes, and the house completely silent. Jayden was sleeping, but that wasn't necessarily a good thing. Jayden had a fever, and when Jayden had a fever, he had nightmares. Speak of the devil, Jayden cried out in pain. Mia heard and ran into his room. He was tossing and turning in his bed, mangling his blankets all around him. Tears were streaming down his face. "Jayden!" She said. "Jayden wake up!" After some shaking, Mia was able to get him up. He woke with a start, sitting up, and as soon as his wide brown eyes saw Mia, he hugged her and started crying on her shoulder. Mia just hugged him back and ran her hand through his hair, saying everything was okay. When Jayden had stopped crying, he still hugged Mia. He didn't want to let go, and Mia knew, so she just layed down with him on his bed. "What was it?" She asked. Jayden was curled into Mia's side, his arm around her stomach, eyes closed. Mia had her arm around him. "Xandred." Jayden said, his fourteen year old voice filled with fear. "He destroyed the Earth. He killed everyone. I was the only one left." "It's okay Jayden, it was just a dream. You know we'll defeat Xandred, and we're gonna do it together." Mia replied. Jayden just nodded, and the two fell asleep, not waking until the next morning.A/N: OMG YOU GUYS I AM SO SO SO SO SO SO SORRY!
