The Way to Mother

"So, what is the way to mother?" I asked Death on a Feather.

"It is four days away from here, back at the castle it'll take five days to get there." He said.

"Do you visit mother all the time 29?" I asked, while holding his hand.

"When I can, I do visit your mother." He said looking ahead.

"What is mother like?" I asked pleading.

"Well you're a lot like her, you are very beautiful, more beautiful then your mother I think," He said but he kept going. "your have her temper and her strength but 4 folds more when your in battle."

"So in other words I am in my grandfather's way cause of what I don't have yet?" I said taking my hand out of his and dropping to my knees.

"Yes, please get up we need to keep going." He said grabbing me to get me up.

"What's the point? I'm going to die anyways, The people I only knew is on my grandfather's side, Wait, What about Roza?" I asked him.

"All in good time," He said putting his hand on my cheek. "We need to get to the next town for food and water. So get on my back or I can carry you."

"I'll get on your back, How long to the next town running?" I asked jumping on his back.

"Two minutes from here." He said grabbing a hold of my feet. "Once there I'll tell what day each holds for us on the way to your mother."

He started running and I felt the wind against my skin. I was thinking how are we going to pay for the food and water. Seeing everything go by so fast was a bit cool, I love going fast. I felt him let go of my feet and grab a hold of my butt to "hold me better". I rested my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes. Then we stopped and my eyes just opened at the feel of his lips on my cheek.

"Wake up, we're here." he said putting me on the bench.

"Where is the store?" I asked.

"Behind you." He said.

"And we ran here, what if people saw us?" I yelled at him standing up.

"Everyone in or from this world has "GIFTS" so it's ok for us to stop right in front of the store," He said. "Let's go in." He said pulling me with him.

Once inside I grabbed a shopping cart, and headed for fruits. I grabbed the strawberries and put them in the cart. I saw 29 coming back with somethings in his hands. He came with a tube of lube and box of something, why would he need these things. We headed to the meats and got T-bones steaks, and pork chops. We headed to the water aile to get the water then went to get a cooler backpack. Once we got all we need, we went to pay for the stuff. Once out of the store we headed to the woods, all the time we were in the store we were quite.

"29, what is the way to mother?" I asked.

"Over The Fire Plains, pass The Jungle of Pain, under The Golden Dragon's Cave, on the other side of The Sea of Blood there is a gate to the afterlife. Four days, four tests to test to see if you are brave. Each one more harder then the last one, some you have to kill. The Fire Plains is an hour run from here, so let eat lunch then go." 29 said while starting a fire while prep the meat.

Tje wood was quite, all you can hear are the demon birds and the fire cracking. I put the meat on a stick over the fire and went to the near by stream to wash then back to the camp groud. Once the meat was done I handed 29 his meat and ate mine. 29 was done and was gone in a flash and back, he was all wet from head to toe. I pack everything in the backpack and saw 29 was waiting for me get on his back so I did. Before he started to run he gave me air-proof goggles to put on. The hour went by fast, once there all I could see was dark red (like the color of blood) fire.

"The first test." was all 29 said.
