GALE!?!

"Hey catnip" he says with a non-chelant voice.

"GALE I HAVE NOT SEEN YOU FOR 5 YEARS AND ALL YOU SAY IS "HEY CATNIP?" I scream trying not to beat the crap out of Gale.

Well i came to say sorry an-" he says looking down at his feet sliding his hands in his pockets.

"SAY SORRY FOR WHAT KILLING MY SISTER MY ONLY CLOSE FRIEND?" Gale's face gets closer to mine and he kisses me. I try to refrain and when I finally do I lose it. I slap gale as hard as I can, the sound of my hand making contact with his face echoes throughout the house. Gale looks taken aback but that expression turns into anger.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT GALE!" I scream at him as he rubs his cheek which is now bright red.

"I thought you loved me." he says and looks me in the eyes.

"NO IM MARRIED!" I lift up my left hand and show him both my engagement ring and my wedding band, before Gale could say or do anything else, Peeta walks in coming back from the bakery.

"Bread Boy?" Gale says with disbelief looking angrier by the minute.

"Yes Gale who else would it be?" I ask rolling my eyes.

"Maybe me?" He says and gives Peeta the death stare. I scoff and scoot closer to Peeta. Gale looks down sees my hospital bracelet.

"Why do you have that on? Did bread boy hurt you? I'm gonna kill him." Gale says and lunges towards Peeta but luckily I step in between them. While I hold Gale back I can't take the yelling anymore.

"NO GALE IM PREGNANT " I shout tears streaming down my face. Stupid pregnancy hormones. Gale's face is even redder than before. He pushes me out of the way and pins Peeta to the ground.

"GALE LEAVE HIM ALONE!" I scream with even more tears streaming down my face. Gale punches Peeta in the face multiple times, before the air out of him. Peeta finds the strength and shoves Gale off of him so know both of them are on their feet. He starts to fight back and kicks Gale in the face sending him into the coat rack, Gale regains his strength and charges at Peeta and does the unthinkable.

Gale pulls out a small pocket knife that you use to skin animals with and stabs Peeta in his side. I look and see Peeta twist his face in pain and fall to the floor making a loud thud and a slight groan.

"PEETA NO!" I scream and drop down next to him, I say calmly say to him: "Peeta please stay with me I'm going to get help ok?" I shoot up and run to the kitchen, grab a dish towel and when I get back to Peeta there is a pool of blood. I wrap his wound with the towel to stop any further bleeding, and dial 911.

"911 what's your emergency?" The operator says and waits for me to answer.

"Yes hello, my name is Katniss Mellark and my husband Peeta has been stabbed in the side." I say with panic in my voice.

"Ok mam, we will send an ambulance out, what's your address?"

"We live in the Victor's village, third house on the right." I say, tears streaming down my face.

"Ok we will be their in ten minutes, remember don't panic." she says and hangs up. I look around and realize Gale is not here anymore, so I set the phone down and run to Haymitch's house and find him sober watching tv.

"HAYMITCH!" I scream hearing faint sirens in the distance.

"What's up sweetheart?" He asks concern etching his voice.

" GALE CAME OVER AND STABBED PEETA, NOW COME AND HELP!" When I said the first part Haymitch shot up and ran out of the house and ran to my house. When we got there Peeta was laying on the floor unconscious, with even more blood on the floor, and the rag, soaked in crimson red.

By the time the paramedics got there Peeta already looked like he was dying, and I was bawling. The paramedics load him on the stretcher and put an oxygen mask on his mouth and nose. When we got to the hospital, Peeta had many tubes and bandages all over him. We enter the hospital and many doctors and nurses run to our aid, and start to poke and prod him.

"We need to get to the operating room STAT!" One of the nurses says and they start to wheel him down the hall.

"Will he be ok?" I ask with a worrying tone, even more tears streaming down my face.

"We don't know yet until we start to operate, we can't have you come any further we need to run tests and start the operation." The doctor says with symphony in her voice.

"I HAVE TO COME WITH HIM!" I scream trying to get past her.

"I'm sorry but you can't come, we will let you know when you can visit him ok?" She says and places a hand on my shoulder walking away.

I sink down to my knees and see the love of my life being rolled away, vanishing behind white, double doors.
