The mockingjay twins

Labor day

When we arrive in district 4 it's around 12:00 in the afternoon, I have been getting Braxton hicks contractions since we got on the train, but I don't tell Peeta because then it would ruin our vacation.

As soon as we get off the train we grab a cab and head off to Annie's house that's right off the coast, the beach is practically her backyard. When we get to Annie's, Peeta gives the cab driver a tip and we start to walk up the hill and to the house. I knock on the door and wait patiently until Annie answers. When she does, her hair is on a messy bun, she has a spit up cloth on her shoulder and bags under her eyes.

"Hey you guys! I haven't seen you two in forever! Sorry I look like this the baby has been keeping me on my toes." She laughs and gives us a hug. She looks at my stomach and grins as we walk into Her house.

"Katniss you look great, how many months?" She asks as I walk to the couch.

"81/2 with twins." I say and pat my stomach. Once I baby Finn instantly fall in love with Him.

"Annie baby Finn is adorable!" I say and pinch his chubby cheeks. Finn just giggles and a small bit of slobber drips down his chin.

"He looks just like Finnick." Peeta says and gives a slight smile as I remember the time Finnick tried to seduce me with sugar cubes. I look up and see Annie with a few tears in her eyes. I walk over to her and give a hug.

"I'm sorry Annie, did I upset you?" Peeta asks with a sympathetic look. She shakes her head and sniffles.

"No,no Peeta it's quite all right." She says and lays a hand on his shoulder. Finn has curly, Carmel locks and those beautiful sea green eyes... just like Finnick had.

"Hey do you guys want dinner?" Annie asks with a smile on her face, as she walks to the kitchen.

"Yeah that'll be great, After dinner we could get a hotel" Peeta says and helps me off the couch.

"No have an extra room you guys can use for the week." She says and starts to cook dinner.

"Thank you Annie" Peeta and I say in unison. I stand there with a smile looking at baby at Finn. When Annie finishes cooking she starts to dish up our plates as we sit down to eat. We have small conversation while we eat and while I am listening, a get a contraction that forces me to set my fork down and take a breathe in, but luckily nobody notices.

The rest of the time that we are eating, I at least get three more contractions, there are about 15 minutes apart, but I keep quiet.

After dinner we walk into the living room and talk but I excuse myself and tell everyone I'm off to bed. I guess Peeta senses my pain and follows up the stairs and places a hand on my back.

"Are you ok Katniss" Peeta asks as another contraction hits and I take in a sharp breathe. I am about to answer but a loud pop rings throughout the room and I look down to see I'm standing in a puddle of water. I look up and see Peeta's face full of shock.

"Peeta my water just broke."
