Pain, depression, and loneliness flooded over me when I heard that heart monitor flatline. Now I'm sitting in the hallway, sobbing with my head in between my knees, until I see a very relived Dr. Jen walk out of his room.

"Well Mrs. Mellark, we got Peeta's heart beating again, most of his memory has returned, and he wants to see you." Dr. Jen says When I hear this information I practalliy spring up and run to his room. When I open the door I see Peeta laying down with his beautiful crystal blue eyes staring towards my direction.

"Katniss?" He says in a groggy voice. All it takes is for me to hear his voice and I burst into tears.

"OH MY GOD PEETA! I cry and run to his bed, practically throwing myself on him, giving him a long passionate kiss.

"P-Peeta, y-y-you w-w-were d-dead I t-thought y-you w-w-would n-never see t-the birth o-of our t-twins" I sob, trying to catch my breathe. He looks at me, takes his thumb and wipes away the tears flowing from my eyes. After a while I compose myself and just cuddle with Peeta.

"I'm here now and that will never change I promise." He says and kisses me again, afterward giving my stomach a pat and a small gingerly kiss.

Just as Peeta is lifting his head back up, Dr. Jen makes a reappearance.

"Well Mr. Mellark you gave us quite a scare there, but now you are heathy enough to go home, but we will run a few more tests before you can go." she says with a slight smile. Peeta squeezes my hand and gives a slight nod.

"Ok Peeta we will take your blood pressure, and give you some proscriptions so your wound won't get infected." After he gives another nod, they take his blood pressure, let him change out of the hospital gown, and get up and walk around a little.

When we get to the front desk, the nurse gives us the medication for Peeta and we are finally discharged. When we get home, Peeta decides to take a nap and I go to take a shower.

By the time I get out Peeta is already awake and making dinner.

"No Peeta you don't have to do that I will do it." I say leading him to the couch, you could clearly tell he was tired. I walk back to the kitchen and finish what he has started.

Once dinner is ready I wake Peeta and we tuck into a dinner of rabbit stew and fresh bread. Afterwards I do the dishes and both of us head upstairs.

Once we are in bed I give Peeta a long kiss.

"What was that for?" He asks me stroking my hair, looking me in the eyes.

"Everything." I simply say and lay my head back down on his chest.

"I love you Peeta" I say sleepily and turn off my lamp.

"I love you too" He says and turns off his lamp leaving us in complete darkness. Eventually we fall asleep, Peeta's hand gently laying on our twins.
